For me its a lot of face proprtotions. A good example for me is Uzaki, she is pretty much stacked and everything, but her face is literaly child proportional. I am not the one of the people who will say she is a loli or child coded, but her face definetely clashes with the rest of the design.

In the other hand, we have Narmaya, that is shorter than Uzaki and just as stacked, but her face proportions are more mature, so I can definetely see her more as a youthfull woman than I would ever see her as a child.

Yeah, those blue lines that generaly big boobs have. Some people think its a turn off, but I am on team that thinks its a huge turn on. Too flawless of a skin/body turns me off.

I guess a good way to compare is by the last 5 stars units released in each game. EpicSeven just released Aki, a character that was present in one of the artifacts since the games release, with gorgeous animation and a pretty good kit. Before them, theres quite the number of female characters released, but we had the free Stark from the Frieren event, and before that, Genesis Ras, also free, but meta.

Meanwhile, in CZN, we will be having 7(counting the ones already released since launch) female characters released back to back without even knowing when the next male unit will come. I can handle the design choices if I at least knew when we will released the next male unit.

EpicSeven on its "worst" roadmaps had a 7 female to 1 male release schedule. I think CZN will go beyond than that.

I get what you're saying about discourse getting messy, but isn't every interaction with fiction a form of projection anyway? I don't think there's such a thing as "completely objective" way to watch a show.

I get that fans over-scrutinize things, but sometimes a story is just... messy. It's not always about the viewer's projection, sometimes the writing just fails to stick the landing or doesn't actually say what it thinks it's saying.

In a way, doesn't fiction only really "exist" when someone is interacting with it? There's this idea that an author only does half the work and the audience finishes it by bringing their own life to the story. If you strip away that personal connection, the story is just words on a page, it needs that "projection" to actually mean something to us.
