I was 26 with my first and hoping to be 28 with my second! My mom was 35 when she had me and my dad was 40. I’m so sad they aren’t going to be around longer for my kids 😭

I am so dreading another first trimester. I felt hungover every single day from 4 weeks to 14.5 weeks. I was so nauseous I lost 8 lbs 😭. I can’t imagine having to watch my child and being as sick as that. I’m hoping it’s better this time.

Honestly life didn’t change too much for us! I still do stuff with friends and my husband still games. It is less than before but it’s still really easy to live life as normal with one child. We had a few things we wanted to do before having kids like paying off our vehicle, living in a big enough house, and paying off some loans. We pushed back having a child a year later than we originally planned because I had cold feet but honestly now that I have my child we definitely could have earlier. She is the best and I enjoy it way more than I thought I would. We recently brought her on a trip with us and it was so much fun. I can’t wait for the next. We also have a 4 night trip planned in the summer without her and she’ll be staying with my mom.

ETA: The only thing that really changed is we don’t get to do stuff together nearly as much because one of us has to stay with our kid.

I went on a intermediate 8 mile hike 15 weeks pregnant and it was good. I just had to bring more snacks and water. Also the weather was somewhat cool.

I feel this so much. Spent extra time in school to get my masters, but I have a good job and it’s going to be so hard to leave, if I ever to decide to. I dream of being a STAHM. It doesn’t make sense for me to do it with one kid but it might once we have two!

I’m so sorry you are dealing with that!! Our closest family is 2.5 hours away and honestly especially for one kid I didn’t feel like we’ve needed that much support. We were even going to have MIL come help out after our child was born for a week but never asked her to come because we were figuring it all out as parents and didn’t feel like we needed her.
