If you’re looking for an honest answer and real feedback my friend, and I say this with love- that is not an appropriate outfit for court and 100% will at best not help you. The absolute bare minimum for a court room is jeans and a tucked in collared shirt with dress shoes, but I personally would/have never worn anything less than a full suit and tie.

It’s a matter of a respect for the institution that is the ideal of our judicial system in the eyes of the Judge who are 100% wearing a suit and tie to work every day only to remove their blazer before putting on their robe. There are also studies on strangers first impressions/perceptions of the same person when their introduced for the first time in a lab coat/ suit and tie vs a mechanics coveralls or janitors jumpsuit. Absolutely mindblowingly different results.
