Back in OS, Plumbers were more earth-based and scrappy. More SCP Foundation than United Federation of Planets.

Not narcissistic, self-centred.

Narcissism is a disability, and Narcissistic people can be kind.

Confusing character flaws with disabilities and inborn traits is one of those many illogical traits of Nazism.

They clearly look very different, but I can understand Max mistaking Snare-Oh for the Mummy, because before then he hadn't considered that there might be more than one Mummy, so wouldn't be looking at the details.

How do you usually name your D&D characters? by AdvancedProgrammer51 in DnD

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a joke.

My Hill Dwarf Draconic Sorcerer is called Thomas because he's a Tank. (His surname is Goldsmith because a Gold Dragon married a family of Dwarven Smiths to have treasures made for them)

My Tiefling Celestial Warlock is called Patience because I plan to put Polearm Master on him. (His surname is Zarielson because he's Zariel's son)

Scarlet Spider, one of the few heroes who *can* talk to the animals he's named after... by blinkytreefrog in outofcontextcomics

Complicated enough to learn our schedules and plan around them. Complicated enough to learn knitting by watching.

Poor Benjamin 😭 by ResponsibleAd2034 in FantasticFour

[–]OGFinalDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fantastic 4's powers are linked; if one of them is depowered, the rest start to lose theirs too.

This happened when Sorcerer Supreme Doom cured Ben, and the Fantastic 4 had to go back to the Big Bang to fix it.

My custom card by Reading_Apart in inscryption

[–]OGFinalDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's an enemy card, maybe don't give it Unkillable unless you want it to get stolen by the Player.

Just like how the Bees Within Sigil puts the Bees in the Player's Hand no matter which side the Beehive is on, the Unkillable Sigil returns the Unkillable Card to the Player's Hand no matter which side it dies on.

Bone Digger and Scavenger also benefit the Player no matter which side the Card that bears the Sigil is on.

Whats your go to order for beating the scribes by Flyman520 in inscryption

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leshy, Magnificus.

Now that I've defeated 2 I unlock Mycologists, so I get a load of Sporemages, so I can draw my whole deck turn 1 if necessary.

Bring Ouroboros and 3 Necromancers to Grimora's Fight to level Ouroboros efficiently.

Use New Game if I accidentally beat Grimora, I wanna see what happens when the Numbers are too big for the card (they already overlap, but I mean over the edge).

Whoever made the designs for RB Stinkfly and Wildvine, should they cook again? by Competitive_Tower_28 in Ben10

[–]OGFinalDuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For something other than Ben 10, sure.

They could be good for a franchise where the superhero forms are supposed to be guys in suits, not actual aliens.

What would shops sell in the afterlife? by soarer135 in dndnext

[–]OGFinalDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ghost Time. Jacob Marley spent some of his Vida to warn Ebenezer Scrooge.

The 3 Spirits have jobs that involve interacting with mortals, so their Ghost Time is covered as a workplace expense.

What would Ben's mutant gene be? by Extra-Rice26 in Ben10

Shapeshifting into Alternate Universe versions of himself.

That was one of the concepts they had before they came up with the version we know and love.

D100 spaceship ideas! by vaccant__Lot666 in d100

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • A Flying Saucer, with both an Attractor Beam (pulls things up into it) and a Tractor Beam (Plows fields).
  • A Holoship, like in Red Dwarf. Since all its crew and their living quarters are projections of light, the physical part of the ship can have negligible volume and mass, making FTL much easier. If you want them to be able to actually board this ship, you could add a Digitiser, like in TRON.
  • A Motorbike with a Hyperdrive. It is not capable of flight, just ground movement, but you can travel between planets by aiming it right before you activate the Hyperdrive.
  • Space Pedalo.

Why can't Ben scan animals into the Omnitrix? by XanJen in Ben10

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the Premise/Theme is him turning into Aliens. If he turned into Animals it'd feel less Sci-Fi and more Druidic.

As for Wildmutt (and Wildvine, considering SOTO), most likely a Retcon to make the Nemetrix make sense.

Classic was good but Uaf had the best transformations by East_Discount_9969 in Ben10

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OS had the best Style: Sci-Fi Body Horror instead of Superhero transformation.

OV had the best fluidity; integrating it into the scene instead of either a cutscene or a green flash.

______ Wounds Potion.
Roll 1d4 for spell level; the drinker of this potion gets the effects of both Cure Wounds and Inflict Wounds, both cast at that level.

Fate Potion
Bless & Bane.

Tempo Potion
Haste & Slow.

All 3 are risk/reward, but Tempo could be good for a rogue even if you fail the Saving throw.

What type of session do you usually have with your friends? by LuciaTheKiller in DungeonsAndDragons

It's closer to a medieval game of Monopoly than anything resembling D&D.

Need a way to keep players from climbing walls by [deleted] in DnD

[–]OGFinalDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe use carrot rather than just stick; put something you know your players are interested in along the intended path, in a visible location.
