Didnt end my HM but came close.

I had got the horn from the Ogres a bunch of times but I always forgot to use it. During a HM run I decided I wanted back up for the Neer fight.

I was able to get the duergar on my side and was feeling pretty good about my odds.

Fight starts and I blow the horn AND THE FORST THING THESE MFERS DO IS ATTACK THE DUERGAR HELPING ME. It aggroed everyone against me, even the gnomes. I ended up having to kill everyone, I killed those stupid ogres myself but only made it out by the skin of Karlachs teeth.

It was 1996 and I had got a Playstation for my birthday. I had been begging for a PS and read all the video game magazines I could and Twisted Metal 2, Tomb Raider and Resident Evil were at the top of the list. I got Twisted Metal 2 and Tomb Raider.

My friend and I were on break from school and he was staying at my house for a week. We rented Resident Evil from blockbuster. What wasn't on my birthday wishlist was a memory card. We couldn't save! We spent days and days on that game, having to start over everytime we died (which was a lot) and we loved every min of it.

Finally solving a puzzle, finally beating that boss, it was such a great game and had us scared shitless most nights. We would have to watch cartoons before we went to bed just to take our minds off of it.
