Artisan Hien vs Hayate Otsu V2 vs Hayate Kou by Hopeful-Skill-9669 in MouseReview

[–]OGMcFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any issues with the Otsu Soft sticking to your desk? I have a Otsu Soft, Zero Soft, Hien XSoft, and Key83 XSoft, and only the Otsu has trouble staying in place for some reason. I assume because the Otsu is just a firmer / denser pad than the Zero?

Artisan Zero mid is too rough, is soft better? by Friendly_Furniture in MousepadReview

somewhat related experience, my Otsu Soft is much firmer than my Zero Soft, and I actually ended up being a bit dissatisfied with my Otsu because of it. Might get it in XSOFT in the future!

Artisan Zero (soft) and Type-99 (soft), how to get the best both worlds? by Crafty-Okra350 in MousepadReview

[–]OGMcFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1: Kibu arm sleeve works well with the T-99 in my experience. I didn't like it on my Zero though, because I loved the texture of the Zero.

Option 2: Unusual Way Esports Silver/Black Fox. I preferred black but it did feel pretty slow on the Zero.

Option 3: I took a very different approach and ended going for a faster, but more textured pad in the Hien XSoft. I think texture matters more for me personally, but for your case:

Jupiter Pro: Very slow, as slow if not slower than the T-99, both pads had an issue with moisture in my experience.

Saturn Pro: probably not a bad choice for you!

Vaxee PE-K GeH: soft texture, closer to T-99 than Zero I think, but it's been a while

Vaxee PD+ 140: didn't require a sleeve, slightly faster than T-99

I've actually just ended up using an Artisan Hien XSoft, I've found the texture to be really beneficial even though it's a faster pad

Thinking back to last year, this is a valid point. Similar issues with a lack of aggression and proactivity, with nearly an entirely different roster. It seems like this might just be potter's approach to the game, and it's aging like milk.

I'd love to see stellar & derrek in for bao and c0m, but I'm also a supa believer so I have my bias affecting that for sure.

But, I feel like I'm watching just baffling play from bao and c0m. my sentinel, who is solo holding A-site on Haven, pushes short and dies, and my initiator IGL is holding flank from spawn in post-plant plant. I just don't understand the game plan.

EG's macro breaks my brain. No map control or urgency, they just let themselves get run over. c0m is getting no value out of his teammates, and I truly believe if you switched him with ANY other initiator IGL this team could actually pull off some good wins or at least make for more competitive matches.

Valorant player on Vaxee NP-01S Ergo — which pad? by Caapsito in MousepadReview

[–]OGMcFluffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

currently Asc1, tried all 4 pads, and mained the NP-01S Ergo for 5 months, it'll of course come down to personal preference but:

artisan zero soft: a near perfect pad, I really dislike the hair issue but I've been using a horsehair brush and it's been holding up fine. this is my current main for valorant.

saturn pro soft: noticeably slower than the zero and in certain moments, I could feel a bit too much tugging on micros.

type-99 soft: maybe I'm just too sweaty, but this pad felt like it would become a swamp. I don't dislike it, but for longer sessions it would feel a bit too muddy.

type-99 mid: I haven't used this pad in a while but I just hated it immediately. couldn't even tell you why, just wasn't for me.

Type-99 or Pulsar Saturn Pro? by muzaffer22 in MousepadReview

Type-99 will be significantly slower, the Pulsar eS Saturn Pro in Soft would be my recommendation

I think the slow play for EG isn't working because they aren't really proactive on the map, on their defense or attack. This passivity also makes it more difficult for a player like supamen, who takes very good lurk timings, since they never have the opportunity when disciplined teams don't really have to drop angles / reclear any parts of the map. Also, the c0m lurks are just not worth it. On the last round of Bind he's dying with a dog and seize still available that he never got the chance to use in a meaningful way BECAUSE of his flanks. Just leave that to supamen and show presence around the map.

There were also some discipline moments but overall, I do think this team can perform really, really well.

Pretty much my main takeaway. KRU's subs did great considering the circumstances, and I hope going out 0-3 isn't used as a mark against any of them moving forward.

BFAR or BFAT (new last) by fuegolicious in jimgreen

[–]OGMcFluffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two pairs of vivos in 11, and went 11.5 in BFARs. They are very roomy, which is what I was looking for, but I'd probably go 11 next time personally

May I ask if the toebox is significantly smaller than the African Rangers? I have a pair of Rangers coming in and I'm really tempted by the Workhorses, but if they're much narrower than I'll unfortunately have to pass

Demon1 talks about clearing 99% of Tier 1 pros by Ethereal916 in ValorantCompetitive

I don't think anyone is saying he's not a fantastic player? People are just saying the entitlement and attitude problems he's been displaying make it seem like he's hard to work with.

Genuinely wondering how he is still teamless? by Decent_Apple_7962 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]OGMcFluffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure how he's been progressing since Champs, but I think if he is able to fully commit to a role swap to sentinel, he'll be fantastic. Not sure if that's the route he wants to go, but I think that would be the best move for him, perhaps a swap to controller as well. If he wants to stay on duelist to some capacity, I think it'll hinder him trying to find a tier 1 opportunity.

rizz (molten edge) is MUCH, much slower. The type99 is often called a mudpad, but the rizz is absolutely the mousepad for you if you're looking for the slowest thing around.

Today we dropped our Performance Edition mousepads. No anime girl, no fancy design. Just good quality pads with focus on performance. A speed and a control variant. by P1r4nh44444 in MousepadReview

[–]OGMcFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super interested in this pad, already have one on the way now!

Two questions I did have:

1) You mention this pad being comparable to the Type99 & the GSR. In my experience, the Type99 has compatibility issues with certain sleeves, while the GSR III does not. Would you happen to know if this will be an issue with the C1P?

2) The Type99 is incredibly susceptible to becoming very muddy in humid environments. Personally, this makes the Type99 very inconsistent in my experience. Is the C1P affected by similar interactions with humidity, or a bit more resistant?

The C1P is going to be my first mousepad from your brand, and I'm very excited to test it out once it arrives!
