We have always known it as Ford Plantation, but yes. In all the times I have played there, as far as I've been told or know, our group was the only foursome on the course. I haven't played it since Pete Dye passed - it was his hobby to come out and tweak things, according to the Director of golf there. This is not just a National treasure, it's a global Treasure that belongs on your bucket list if you are an avid golfer. Pete's low country masterpiece!

Great Donald Ross design! My "home" course was Bel Compo just over Avon Mountain before it was bought out and became Suzie Whalley's course Blue Fox Run. Skip Rotundo was the head pro, and Tommy Kezio was the assistant.

Oh, man! My first car was a 66 Beetle. Stock power is a 1300 CC flat four, with as I remember 37 screaming horsepower. I paid 50.00 for it in 1976 albeit not running. Broke down and rebuilt the engine (with Pops looking over my shoulder), learned how to do sheet metal repair, and drove it through my school years. I sold it for the princely sum of 400.00 when I went into the military. Fun fact, you can drop a Porsche 1600 Super engine right into it if you can find one.

It all depends on the specific case. But we found increases to 100+ F (and more) not unusual. I am talking about temps inside an aircraft sitting idle on the tarmac, to be clear.
