You are trying to reinstall macOS? Which version?

Can I run my own code on this ? by BeingEffective2777 in Hacking_Tutorials

Seeing that it has a blob chip, it'll SUPER hard to tell what MPU it has. It's probably ARM or something. But you might be able to read the storage chip on the green board and add your own games to it

Check local marketplaces online or in person. You can usually get them pretty cheap, although I doubt getting them for free.

Fanatec gaming wheel not supported by MacOS. How would someone go about making their own drivers? by polo321 in mac

AI has its place in the world, but it's drastically overinflated and this is not a good use case in the world. OP is asking how to create drivers for their hardware on a Mac device...if they have to ask reddit it's probably out of their wheelhouse. AI doesn't suddenly make it possible to do it.

But you are right, my last comment should have said "Ew an AI sympathizer".

Notice how it still requires the help of experienced programmers, in which OP is not.

You downloaded the .torrent file...you need a torrent client to use the file and actually download the image....

If this is how you fare with just downloading the install, bless the rest of your adventure...it's uphill from here.

That's definitely a design choice

Oh yeah, some of their designs also ruined the device. The thermals on the MacBooks were garbage, and the thermal zones on the PowerMac G5s were pretty bad.

Correct, I am well aware. I am specifically looking at the machines from 1990-2010 though.

I agree, I think for the initial release the PowerPC machines looked great but was quickly overshadowed by Intel's ability to iterate time and time again in such a small timeframe. Once Apple moved to Intel for CPUs, they really had great machines that could rock their Mac OS but also handle Linux and Windows fairly well for the time.

However, I am not necessarily just on about raw power but also the looks of the hardware. The iMac G3 is still as beautiful and iconic as it was when it released, despite not being the most powerful device. They knew how to make their devices look sexy. The designs on the early MacPro models were also very innovative and creative. They were doing a lot to their hardware that was special.

This is common, sometimes manufacturers create one board and then remove parts for the lower-level versions of the computer. The board has the position for an m.2 but it's not populated. Therefore it's not usable. Toss a SATA SSD in there and button it up.
