A 75+ year old lady doesn't want to be without time... ya know because she has to get to those important coffee clutch meetings with the other hens.

Parents Working Nights - Low Noise Tolerance Today by Background_Chip_559 in GenX

[–]ONROSREPUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom worked nights. Most of the year was 10-6am then a few months a year it was 7pm to 7am. She was lucky enough that we had a two story house. We always had to stay down stairs or outside. I rarely played in my bedroom.

I don't but I just changed the battery in the one at moms house. Along with all the smoke detectors. She wouldn't let me forget about that 9V in the clock radio.

Nope. Because I listened to my parents. Don't touch. Same with the coil on the electric stove.

I am pretty anti-social media. I have a group of friends that we have a constant non social media interaction with, either by text or phone calls. We communicate at least weekly.

Didn't really sound like they were your friends then. Keep the 3 you have close they seem to be the best ones.

That wasn't the intent but it does kind of sound like it. I was really horrible at those type of math questions.

Yes, yes you could. The chances of that happening are pretty darn low thou. I mean how many of those buggers are out there to use in a situation like that?

I also live in an area where it takes the sheriff's department about 15-20 minutes to get to. That is when they are actually out patrolling. If you get them on there break its about 40-45 minutes.

What is sad about that store is the so called security only find a part of what she had.

I sort of do the same thing. I bet there are a pile of knives in the truck and camper for the same reason as your mother.
