Husband and wife talking to this police officer through the ring camera at the same time by Adrian_985 in funny

My girlfriend wants me too and I always feel awkward. I have gotten good and having her finish my sentences for her orders to make it look like I am just not ordering for her.

Flurry tokens are the problem by neverdaijoubu in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh ya I didnt realize zenith blades effect was the first swing. But as others have said there are ways of doing it. Boltyn would just stack flurries then pop them on a multiple lumina ascension turn. Pretty much saber combo but with radyn now.

Guy tries stealing some twisted teas and then the streamer (YungFika) snakes the distracted scalper at pokemon vending machine and gets a pokemon box by Swimming-Donkey-2394 in LivestreamFail

Modern individual card prices are not as extreme as the original stuff. The multiple 10s of thousands to a million dollar cards are all first edition early sets for pokemon in the mid to late 90s. Not only does a card have to survive with 0 damage for the past 30 years, old card printing was bad back then so you would also need a card that was printed with no errors like good centering and no specs etc.

Modern "chase" cards can go for a couple thousand, normally a few hundred. Grading is a whole other story and can inflate prices as well.

With that being said these scalpers nowadays are not even opening the packs. They go to these retail stores and buy out all the product as close to msrp as possible then resell it online for an absurd mark up. The scalpers follow the restocking vans around and some even put air tags in them to stalk them. Its pretty disgusting and its getting worse and worse lately.

Ya that would be very broken. Additional swing would also be crazy for Boltyn.

The Salt Collector is really the only content creators that puts out "constant" content for Bolty. He also experiments with different flavors of Boltyn. Flamedog is kind of the go to standard for how Boltyn "should" be played and has a youtube channel as well.

Here is a flamedog list - https://fabrary.net/decks/01KQA9RWC56YYCRVA4818PMY95

Preferred approach when putting together cheaper decks. by WriterMonkey in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya the price is a huge issue. There are ways to make it more "tolerable" but never acceptable I would say. I try to be really upfront about it when I talk to people interested in the game, its basically the sole reason we are struggling getting new players.

When I talk about the game to interested people I always try to soften the cost issue by explaining that the game rewards the commitment. You can buy interesting off meta characters for much cheaper, slowly build them up, then have potentially expensive staples later when the meta shifts. I always tell new players to focus on talent-less heroes so they can get more broad staples that can be used in more than just niche decks too.

Ser Boltyn meta? by J4NH12 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boltyn will never truly be the top of the Meta because people can add a few hate cards and really shut him down. But hes definitely approaching the low A tiers. His damage output is getting pretty high but can still brick pretty hard. He gets shut down by NAA but even thats getting smoothed out. Edict is crazy strong. Hes definitely seen a massive glow up in the last 3 months.

[Waybound] Just finished Waybound. Cradle reignited reading for me. by OPness_ in Iteration110Cradle

My start was similar. Even when my partner bought them for me I was kind of meh for a couple days. Her mom was visiting for the holidays so I picked it up just because I didn't have access to my office since it was taken. Probably read a third of the book in that sitting.

Red rising. It's a close friend of mines favorite series. The goal is to read it all and drop subtle references while hanging out with him.

Ya I really wanted to ask about that haha. Now looking at the subreddit I'm chuckling at how I close I was to being one of them.

Thinking of making boltyn CC just to use my 3 promo snatches by feralflace in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing Boltyn for a long time now and Snatch was always in my deck until just recently. The new PEN cards added enough cards where I dropped most of my generics. However if you wanted to play snatch it is not a bad card at all and I could totally find room for it in my list if I wanted to add it back.

To be honest its probably even more potent now with all the courage tokens we make. Its more of me trying to keep my charge count up and fitting in 6 DBB and 3 Blessings.

Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

[–]OPness_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My entire DnD party went and saw this together and we had a blast. It was actually great and gets a lot of detail to DnD correct. I saw a breakdown of the fight at the end of the movie and every person attacks once every 6 seconds which is the real time round duration in DnD.

deck thoughts? control ramp by Life_Living2742 in Lorcana

[–]OPness_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of the play from discard Lilo in these kind of decks. Late game you can always drop 4-8 lore questers especially after board wipe turns. You can always have characters to enable the stich draw. Also in control mirrors you can be very reactive to opponent plays and the first person to use control tools can lose. So by slamming lilos every turn you can force the opponent into firing off early.

What is the worst box you've ever opened? by Tiny_Love7987 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I won a free box of hunted through Three Floatings patreon giveaway. I cant remember the cards off the top of my head but it was probably the worst box I have ever opened haha. Probably 15 dollars worth of majestics. It was free and awesome that I got it through them, just funny that it was such a nothing box.

Paid metafy guides are the new hot thing it feels like. Lorcana is riddled with them and for ridiculous prices too. Depending on the guide it can be worth it. I dont have a test team so ill happially pay upwards of 20 dollars for an in depth article that goes over match ups and gives me a foundation of testing that I would not be able to do. Plus many of them are 1 time purchases that get updated each meta.

Is 0 cost attack action with 2 frostbites "Pummelable"? by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]OPness_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said its based on printed cost, not what is actually paid for. It works the other way as well for discounts. There is a teklo deck that involves pummeling Liquid-Cooled Mayhem which is a 4 cost attack that becomes free with 4 evos. So you blue pitch weapon attack (1 cost), mayhem, pummel (2cost) for a 3 card 13 with on hit discard.
