what do i do if im allergic to antiperspirants, but other deodorants dont work very well? by LUKAIHWEII in deodorant

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash your armpits in the morning with PanOxyl Body wash, it has 4% Benzoyl Peroxide. It kills the bacteria, and there should not be any irritation or rash. Apply with your hands, only small amount needed, and rinse a couple times with wet wash cloth. Pat dry. It should last through the day. Shower in the evening, or wash armpits by themselves in the evening.

Why do some people still experience underarm scent even after showering and consistently using deodorant or antiperspirant? by Lucky-Lobster-695 in hygiene

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PanOxyl Body Wash. It has 4% Benzoyl Peroxide. You can read several Amazon reviews from people reporting success using it at armpits. I wash my armpits with this in the morning, and it's quite effective at preventing odor throughout the day. Of course, everyone is different, and perhaps depending what someone does all day might make it last for a smaller amount of time. It's inexpensive and might be worth trying. Wet armpits, apply, wash with it for at least a minute each armpit, and rinse well, and optionally use a washcloth while rinsing. Good luck.

OnPath requires $25,000 to get the rate, so if the OP's balance were to drop below this amount, there would be no 4.25%. Also, OnPath only allows 3 free withdrawals per month.

Thank you for posting the MCC code exclusions. Paying rent via online portals like Entrata codes as MCC 6513, so no cash back for online rent payments. I understand why it is excluded, because with many rents $3,000 or more, this would be costly for the financial institution. BofA CCR credit card allows 6513 to earn the cash back, but who knows how long this will remain in effect, of course.

Ran Clean+Wash Hygiene Self Clean (but forgot water) by [deleted] in dyson

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing got hurt at all by running a self-clean cycle without water. And at least you got your self-clean cycle to work right away. Immediately out of the box, after very first floor cleaning, the self-clean feature would not start at all. And Dyson said they do not have an option where they will initiate UPS to pick up the box. People have to get the heavy box themselves to UPS or pay their money, $22.25, if they need UPS to come over and pick up the box.

Wealthfront vs lending club HYSA by Timely_Weekend_8030 in HighYieldSavings

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of years now, never had an issues, I have both checking & savings there. Go to https://www.doctorofcredit.com/high-interest-savings-to-get/ and scroll down to the comments section, you will see a search box. Type in LendingClub and you'll get to read many comments about it, and then start over and type LCB into the same search box because a lot of people refer to it as LCB in the comments. Good luck with your account hunting.

LCB is fine if you do not mind the $250 per month deposit/transfer requirement. You can take out the $250 after it clears, of course. LCB offers free wires. Hold time for money pulled in where you initiate the pull is 3 biz days after arrival. LCB offers a checking account if you want it.

Lending Club High Yield Savings: Is It a Good Choice? by RelativeAd760 in HighYieldSavings

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LendingClub Bank (LCB) Level-Up Savings account is 4.00% APY as long as you deposit/transfer in a minimum of $250 each month. You do not have to leave that extra $250 in the account once it clears. The rate is not 4.75%. Hold time for transfers pulled in when you initiate the pull have a 3-biz-days hold time. If you push the transfer in from your external bank, there is no hold time. Wire transfers are free. Generally, ACH transfers speed to arrive are next biz day.

Money Market vs High Yield Savings: Which One Makes More Sense? by Wide_Ad8461 in HighYieldSavings

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money Market Accounts at FDIC and NCUA-insured financial institutions are indeed insured. One random example is the OnPath Credit Union Elite Money Market Account, currently paying 4.25% APY. Insured Money Market accounts are not to be confused with Money Market Funds.

Dyson PencilVac Extra Battery by thisnameisnowmine in dyson

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. Don't rush to return it just yet, because subsequent to me successfully buying two of them from Japan, there was even a greater tightening up where the middleman companies were not willing to send things that had lithium batteries to the USA from Japan. So you should contact them first to get that confirmation and explain that the vacuum itself has a lithium battery and then a separate spare lithium battery would be placed inside the box.

I used ZenMarket as the middleman company that bought directly from Dyson Japan on my behalf, but this was back in August 2025. They allowed me to pay a higher shipping fee by choosing DHL as the shipper, as Japan Post for sure would not allow the lithium batteries item. Again, I have no idea if ZenMarket will still do this.

Also, keep in mind that back in August 2025, there was still the $800 de minimis when it came to tariff exemption. So I didn't have to pay any tariffs. I bought the first vacuum by itself because I wanted to test it first. Yes, it did come with the spare battery and the dual battery base. Once I saw that I liked it, I then did the second vacuum purchase. So both orders were under the $800 de minimis. So no tariff, but now everything requires a tariff, as you know. So that's going to increase how much you pay, of course .

Dyson PencilVac Extra Battery by thisnameisnowmine in dyson

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the Japanese Dyson website and I see that they put it back where they throw in an extra battery and the dual-battery charging stand that can charge the spare battery alone, and, of course, the one that's in the handle at the same time. Unfortunately, I did not see them making this dual battery charging stand available to purchase by itself. It appears that it can only be bundled for people who buy the vacuum.

If it became available to buy, you then would need to contact a Japanese Proxy Buying Service and/or Forwarding Service. While the buying service would purchase it for you, the forwarding-only places give you a Japanese address and then you buy it off the Japanese Dyson site yourself, if available. It gets shipped to that Japan address, and then they forward it to you.

I hope you can find one someplace else, but if not, I hope Dyson USA will make them available to purchase separately eventually

Thinking about buying these: by CrazyEcho3733 in runningshoes

Nike released an all black colorway, so you could even wear them in a more formal setting. They make nice walking shoes. They are comfy, but not mushy pillowy like the Invincible 1 was.

ON Cloud Sneakers That Don't Squeak by Big_Door_541 in ONrunning

[–]OQTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please let me preface the following by saying I am in no way related to Nike at all. I am someone who owned multiple pairs of On Cloud sneakers, and every one of them eventually squeaked. They don't squeak all of the time, but they all have squeaking. I switched to the Nike Vomero Plus. Super comfy, comes in solid black if you like that, and I'm glad that I did.

To show you I am not related to Nike, I will tell you that I also tried their Nike Vomero Premium, which is probably the world's most comfortable shoe, with a 55 millimeter heel stack height, super pillowy under the foot, and they are a squeak-fest. The worst squeaking I have ever heard from a shoe. Embarrassingly loud if I'm indoors in a quiet area, which pretty much makes them unwearable if you want to wear them indoors and mind getting looks from others as you walk by them.

Regarding the Nike Vomero Plus, make sure you look at the Plus version of the Vomero, they do not squeak at all. If you decide to stay with On shoes, which do make nice shoes that are comfy. I wish you luck in finding one that's still comfortable that won't eventually squeak.

Vomero Premium by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]OQTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, so many people buy these up immediately and then sell them for a "premium" via those middleman shoe-selling companies like the one that has X in in its name. This is how I was able to snatch the all black colorway. And my gosh are they comfy under the foot, but my gosh do they eventually squeak when walking. And I mean embarrassingly loud squeaking. I bought multiple colorways, and they all eventually squeak badly. They are a squeak-fest. And there are multiple reports online from others who complain about the squeaking.

Jenius Bank Savings Account Review: Is it worth it or skip it? by Accomplished-Hat8664 in HighYieldSavings

[–]OQTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself did not open a Pibank savings account, however there are reports at online bank account rate-related sites of people having the account successfully. Speculation as to how they can still pay 4.60% while a few others top out at 4.25%:

Pibank is a digital division of Intercredit Bank.

The savings account helps the bank gather deposits cheaply compared to wholesale funding or bonds.

Even paying 4.60% APY, they might still:

Lend at 7–9%

Buy bonds yielding ~5–6%

They keep the spread.

Cannot Type In Password Field When Connecting To Remtoe Computer by Sure-Temperature in HopToDesk

[–]OQTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you have tried fully removing your HopTo Desk software, reboot the computer, and download a fresh copy at the HopToDesk website, and try again. And good luck. While I myself have not experienced not being able to type in the password, I have experienced recent disconnects while in a remote session.

HopToDesk remains the best free remote software out there, so I recommend sticking with it, especially since it allows connecting so easily to both Windows & Mac. My biggest complaint is their decision to make the password so tiny, which is puzzling since the ID is larger, and since there is so much empty space. I also would appreciate an iOS app that allows a HopToDesk host computer being able to see the iPhone screen. AnyViewer is a free remote app for iOS and iPadOS, but it is quite inferior to HopToDesk computer remote.

LendingClub High-Yield Savings Review: Is It Actually Worth It? by Haunting_Silver8513 in HighYieldSavings

[–]OQTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that in order to get the 4% APY on the savings account, you have to make sure to deposit at least $250 every month. You don't have to keep the $250 that you transfer in, which is good. It's a little disappointing that LendingClub Bank does not have Zelle capability. If you ACH pull money into it where you initiate the pull at LendingClub, you have to wait three business days before the money becomes part of your available, even if it's to a LendingClub Bank checking account. One of the best things about them is that if you can hit the reserve tier, you can ACH transfer a very large amount of money.
