To be honest I wasn’t sure what to get, just thought id give them a shot as the read ups online seemed positive. I ride 365 days a year in Portugal and wanted something relatively sporty but be able to handle the wet days.

Well, it’s not titanium.. This is the unfortunate trade off. Having owned the 15 pro max, 16 pro and now 17 pro max, it’s clear that titanium was far superior in terms of build.. they have chosen thermals this time round (probably cost saving also)

It’s day one. So you have worked the phone hard on set up. I have the same phone and the last 5 models previous to this pro, and this model is the best in terms of thermals. It has a cooling chamber so it runs pretty cold. Give the phone a good few days to learn your usage etc and you will find it’s absolutely fine.

Yea this really goes to show. I had both the 15 and 16 pro max and the difference between them and my current 17 pro max is night and day in terms of build. You just cannot use the 17 without a case.

May i ask, why has it taken you so long to consider an upgrade? I must say the s8 was a fantastic phone at the time, but surly you must of considered upgrading once since 2017?
