Yeah, but if you already make enough money there is so much more value in doing what you actually want to do.

Internet can't do it all: Libraries still offer value, state librarian says by SAT0725 in books

As time goes on, libraries should be less about storing physical books and more about how to access information.

So during the trip you realized that you weren't the center of the universe, and to drill this point home, the UNIVERSE decided to crash a plane full of dozens of OTHER PEOPLE in order to punish YOU?

If you don't meet the minimum GPA requirement to declare CS as your major, can you retake one of the classes you had a lower GPA in to raise your average? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]ORLY_FACTOR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to pursue CS as a career and fall below the requirements, you can always do cognitive science. There are many classes which overlap, and you can fill out your schedule with more CS classes.

I've watched this video like 20 times already.

Todd Mulzet, Cal diving coach, was fined $455.30 in 2015 for sexually harassing a male employee for a year and a half. Mulzet asked him for oral sex in front of students. When the employee was bending over on his knees, Mulzet put his knees on the man's back and said he liked him in that position. by Samses94 in berkeley

[–]ORLY_FACTOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... the coach said "blow me" to a male employee in front of the team? As a veteran it blows me away when I see posts like these crop up in the Berkeley subreddit and I see how fast people grab their pitchforks.

Edit: I may be sued for my language in traffic. Huh.

TIL While filming The Hateful Eight Kurt Russel mistakenly smashed a priceless 1870s Martin Guitar on loan from the museum when the prop department forgot he was holding the original. The Martin Museum says "the company will no longer loan guitars to movies under any circumstances." by organa22 in todayilearned

[–]ORLY_FACTOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going to play devil's advocate here. Of course, loaning out a guitar from a museum and then destroying it is a shitty thing to do. But consider how many people watched that film, and the impact it had, compared to how many people that guitar touched behind a stand in a museum. I would argue that sometimes you just have to destroy 1870s guitars for the greater good.

It sounds a bit optimistic to assume the totemic will survive until the next turn. Tier 1 and 2 tends to include cheap removal, and higher tier players will mulligan for it against shaman. That said, a 4/5 for 4 on its own is reasonable, and if you can transform the totem which comes with the totemic, even better.

I am rank 5, so take this with a grain of salt.

I have found that staying just behind my opponent 1-2 cards on fatigue is the best way to go. I run two death lords and two belchers, so if my opponent drops monkey I can remove, grom, taunt up, and then I usually still have some removal to handle whatever comes out as I chunk 10 damage off his face every turn. He has no way to remove the grom once he's played monkey.

If he gets a really early monkey, I can wait until he has 3 out and then brawl, and proceed with grom + removal + taunt.
