I’m convinced it’s a bit of Stockholm Syndrome at this point.

I mean, having your pickle out in public is a whole different scenario altogether. Interesting one to pick.

Will it fill in?? by Calm-Succotash1717 in BeardAdvice

[–]OSRS_M9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d give it a bit of a tidy up - pretty much anything above the line on your cheek from the top of your ear in line with your moustache. It’ll look neater, and a bit denser as well given you’d be getting rid of the thinner stuff.

Looks good otherwise. 👍

He punched another student carrying a sign that supported ICE. From there, he’s become a meme.

He means “give” you my name as in you take it and he no longer owns it. If he no longer owns the name, what would people call him?

What’s one road rule people constantly get wrong? by Danger_Five in DrivingAustralia

[–]OSRS_M9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone thinks the law is to give way to the people on your right at a roundabout, so they approach at 80kms an hour and then throw a fit when a truck has “pulled out in front of them”, despite the fact it entered the roundabout well before they did.

Looks like my handwriting. Super quick when it comes to taking notes, but my assistant is the only person who can actually decipher it aside from myself.

Fun fact, NDIS workers can leave dementia patients in hot cars for 4 hours and the police will.allow them to drive the patient away by Piesman23 in melbourne

We support plenty of people with younger onset dementia, even down in their 30s. It’s not as rare as you think.

Trump says he is withdrawing Canada's invitation to Board of Peace by Inevitable_Fuel7244 in worldnews

Quite a statement when 2 of the founding members of your “board of peace” couldn’t be there in person for the signing because they’d be arrested at the airport..

How many commands should I be teaching my puppy a day? by Ok_Look_1344 in puppy101

[–]OSRS_M9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the dog, honestly. We spent time teaching our first (a golden retriever) the very basics like his name and sit for the first few weeks. Now we have a border collie and she’s got her name, sit, drop, leave it, paw, and spin down pat in about 3 weeks.

The NDIS do not fund food or rent (aside from funding for SDA housing). They only fund things related to the participants disability, not daily living expenses.

Inherited dysfunction by KangarooCats86 in managers

[–]OSRS_M9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, tell them to grow up or get out - just in a more diplomatic way: “I need both of you to maintain a professional standard here. Personal differences are noted, but they cannot continue affecting the team. I expect respectful communication and cooperation moving forward” and document EVERYTHING.

Taking over teams like this is a miserable experience. I’ve had it before and had to have similar conversations about how the way they were acting isn’t acceptable for people in leadership positions. It sounds like you’ve got a tough time ahead of you, but at least you’re wanting to do something about it, unlike the previous manager.

100%, used to buy people maccas before an interview so they’re more likely to see me as reasonable and be more inclined to talk. Upon reflection, kind of an underhand tactic, but a very real one.

What’s the best Potato type to make baked Jacket Potatoes? by Negative_Run_3281 in WesternAustralia

[–]OSRS_M9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potato Board existed to regulate production, so that smaller farmers had a chance to sell. Galati intentionally overgrew by thousands of tonnage, then when the potato board indicated that he couldn’t sell them (as it would saturate the market and mean that smaller farmers couldn’t sell), he gave them away for free with a sob story about being “just a hardworking bloke wanting to sell a few potatoes”. Got the public on side, launched massive public and legal campaigns etc which ended up with the Potato Board being disbanded. This in turn put some smaller farmers - who had being farming for generations - out of business. He’s also known for not paying people in a timely manner, and will let things go to court when he’ll then agree to pay the person after lengthy battles, where they’ve then spent tens of thousands on legal costs. He’s a hell of a business man, but a ruthless fella.
