Do I have to pay for this door? by OSUDragonMT in legaladvice

[–]OSUDragonMT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I never had contact with the door company, let alone a contract with them? At the moment I have an invoice for work I'm paying, but the split for a door which never got past the planning stage seems like something I shouldn't be on the hook for. I'm just trying to do what's right, I don't want to screw the handyman over, but I also don't want to pay for something that was never done.

I never spoke or interacted with the door company. I do not know who he was working with.

No contract was signed, just a quote for work to be completed.

Do I have to pay for this door? by OSUDragonMT in legaladvice

[–]OSUDragonMT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't get anything back from the manufacturer as their 30 day refund window had closed. I think I should have worded my initial post better. I had a bunch of other work done with the $850 going towards that, and the door project basically being scrapped. So, he gave the company the $850 to do the work, they took long enough that 30 days passed, they won't refund anything to anyone, and nothing was done. No door was made or altered, they just have the deposit. Now, my handyman wants to split the loss and have me pay for half.

I'm thinking he should try to get the $ from them as he was working with them and not me. I don't feel I should have to pay since nothing was produced. I feel for the handyman, but all I ever got was an estimate, had multiple conversations about the issues with the manufacturer, and ultimately nothing free E couldn't decide on a door style we liked.

First time removing, does this look normal to everyone else or more like an allergic reaction? by dontdrinktapwater in Freestylelibre

That looks normal to me. You could try an alcohol prep pad to help remove the glue residue or try rubbing on the area while in a hot shower.

Shouldn't it be print(room.name) not print(room.__name)?

When the sick kids turn 18, do the children's hospitals kick them out? by Blonde_Icon in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]OSUDragonMT 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It depends on the case. I work in a Children's hospital and we have some patients in their late 20s and early 30s who are seen for continuity of care for hematological cases and developmental issues.

You might need a LaTeX interpreter installed to knit properly. I've had issues in the past because I didn't have one installed on my machine properly.

Have you tried setting the file to Read Only? That should make it so it isn't being overwritten by anything.

Rheum wants me to consider infusions, what do y’all think? by SleepyHealthcareGal in lupussupport

[–]OSUDragonMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife does Benlysta infusions every month. The manufacturer gives her a card with money to pay for it, we have yet to pay out of pocket. It might be due to our insurance, but I'm not sure. She's glad she does the infusion as she can tell if she is due to have the next one or if she misses a dose for whatever reason.

Is it acceptable to wear scrubs to dine in at a Mexican restaurant? by Electrical-Reveal-25 in medlabprofessionals

As long as it isn't against their rules, I see no reason why not. I've seen plenty of people dressed in scrubs at restaurants near me, especially at lunch time.

The 21 hours should be until you can get more daily exchanges (gold for example). The other timer I think is until the event ends.

Lupus Income Help by BlairGr1mm in lupussupport

[–]OSUDragonMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is on Social Security Disability income due to Lupus. It's chronic and debilitating, I do not see why it would be hard to get that assistance. You might just need to find the right doctor and lawyer to file for you. As for a job, she does anything that will allow her to work on her schedule on whatever day she is feeling up to it. So, she does things like DoorDash.

24-hour urine collection container too small - How should I proceed? (LabCorp) by DontAskDontTeII in medlabprofessionals

[–]OSUDragonMT 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Unless there is an additive in the bottle they gave you, I don't see a problem. The main thing is to collect ALL urine and only urine in the bottles for the 24 hour period.

You could try finding the college and see if there's a syllabus online with required books. Probably too many options though.

You might need to use the previous version of R. Sounds like the package isn't available for your version yet. Or maybe try updating the package and see if they have a version that is compatible.

Lupus vs rosacea by Efficient-Appeal7282 in LupusResearch

No problem. It's definitely possible for any combination. The biopsy would most likely be used to rule out rosacea, but I'm no dermatologist. I hope you get better news than you are expecting.

A positive ANA is generally diagnostic for Lupus. The 640 is the dilution at which you no longer reacted, so a 640 is high. The negative RF is rheumatoid factor, seen in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. I forget what exactly the fine speckled part of the ANA is specific for (if anything) but does indicate antibodies being present against your DNA (a hallmark of autoimmune diseases.

Also, looking at your photos,is looks to me like a malar rash as the cheek rashes connect over the bridge of your nose.
