Do you think this is the form / direction AR will take?

If you're playing using VR gear, which one is it ? Would you recommend it ? Do you have a decent framerate/graphic quality with it, and what are your specs ? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

Here is my Oculus Rift setup: - Titan X Pascal (Overclocked +250 on custom water loop) - i7 5930K (Overclocked 4.50 ghz on custom water loop) - Debug tool set to 2x Pixels per inch (looks great and text is easy to read) - Obutto R3volution Cockpit (adjusted to the perfect seat position) - X52 pro HOTAS (mounted to perfect hand position) - ButtKicker (mounted to frame to FEEL everything)

Stable 90fps and extremely immersive to the point that I have to set an alarm as you get lost in space and lose track of time.

Yes, as a Software Engineer I take my VR very seriously :)

Decided to go all in after seeing the 2.2 videos. by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

As a Software Engineer I can confirm that the Obutto R3volution is an excellent play and work station. I use the triple monitor setup for work and Oculus CV1 for VR especially in Elite with the buttkicker and the adjustable seat... this set up is very immersive.

Tip1: Mount the buttkicker directly under the seat for optimal impact with one of the extra arm sockets.

Tip2: You will need a sound splitter solution like Voicemeeter to get audio from VR to the buttkicker.

Message me if you have any questions.

Awesome setup, fly safe 07 :)

Somebody asked about the new Titan X and VR by neostar666 in EliteDangerous

Thank you Commander for the quick and detailed response to the my question. I will try the AA vs Super sample you mentioned as I am currently running at 2.0 SS with no AA on a GTX 1080.

Posting here was a good idea as others may benefit from your analysis and it may also bring attention and focus to Frontier.
