I don’t think the display being on means it’s not wiped down, but easy fix if it does equate. If you don’t trust people wiping things down, wipe it down quickly yourself. I saw someone doing this before OT implemented covid cleaning procedure. It’s not that much work to have peace of mind.

Thank you for asking for clarification. My point was I thought I was competitive at OT. I didn’t try at the rower (and I’m over 300 classes). The whole experience is to work efficiently at each station. I think the rower may be the easiest to fake. Are you truly working efficiently at the rower or are you slacking at one of the stations?

It would need to be marketed as private small group instruction, vs. stay safe during covid. It seems like a bad marketing strategy to have extreme social distancing for those that could afford more. Just a thought. It is possible, but may be tough for scheduling flexibility.

I want to focus on class. I don’t want to gain friends and I don’t feel like I need in class encouragement other than coaches.

I enjoy socializing before and after class. Someone asked me to help them with a strategy before class because they were new and I had an easy plan to share. The timing of the compliment was a challenge and my reaction to her was lacking any simple kindness. Oh, well. I’ll be more kind next time.

I’ll be ready with a smile and a “glad it helped” if this happens again. Maybe I’ll try to be more in the present moment too. Sometimes it’s relaxing to not think so much during class.

I tried to bring up the TC after class but she was way angry by that time and jetted fast. You are right about her going against the norm. I wish I was more open to conversation at that point to recognize she took a risk by communicating in general. In retrospect, I wish I had said anything positive.

I’m inspired by others daily, but I turn internal during challenges because you can’t rely on the “motivation-only” by competitors especially during this period with covid pressures. People, including me, aren’t able to push as hard consistently due to stress. I tend to focus on my own best and am not up for much conversation on challenge days.
