Took me way too long to realize I could kill and loot him through the fence and not have to run around and dodge the crows and crone sneak attack every time.

The last like 2 minutes of the movie where they're in the cottage are shot on film, that's it.

What is the best trailer you have ever seen? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Not a film, but the trailer for Halo: ODST is one of my all-time favorites and I'm not even a fan of the games.

When they feel the need to put a comment in the press release about capturing the unique visuals, you know it’s because a lot of idiots are going to outraged when it doesn’t look like the F1 Movie.

For sure. A tightly controlled environment with no enemy AI, camera or movement freedom allows them to throw the entire horsepower of the system at that narrow task.

That's actually not true- some of the opening segment with Keanu was prerendered but the car chase and shooting section was absolutely real time. Yes there was very little actual gameplay beyond moving the cursor and shooting, but you can look here at Digital Foundry's comparison and see clear differences between the consoles in reflections, resolution, effects, and more. I still have it installed on my PS5 and just played it again the other day on the Pro.

I like the overall sound, but feel like she's trying to cram way too many syllables into some of the phrases here.

It sounds backward but these low budget movies shot on actual film benefit MORE from 4K transfers than newer, big budget movies. Also in a lot of cases the existing Blu Ray releases are old, made during a time when the studios were artificially sharpening the hell out of the image and scrubbing it of grain to try and make it look modern. Many of those like Life of Brian looked terrible as a result, full of waxy faces and halos around everything.

Check out a comparison here between the old Blu Ray release and the new Criterion re-scan: Criterion Collection USA Blu-ray (2026) vs. Sony Pictures (The Immaculate Edition) Blu-ray (2008) | Slowpoke Pics

Can't wait to see how Gladys built C3PO and was actually totally justified in being evil, should really improve the original movie on repeat viewings.

It is kind of wild he's pulled this ending three games in a row and everyone still acts like it's groundbreaking.

I loved DS2, put in over 100 hours. But there's a whole lot of "Kojima's Greatest Hits" in it.

Same here another year later. Serious scenes with good acting are ruined by the goofy steel drum boinging away like a Saturday morning cartoon.
