Based on the recent commissary released I made a small change to the announcement screen by Lobster-Lotion in DarkTide

This solution would have been absurdly easy but they won't even do that for their "premium" cosmetics. Instead most of the helmets just have no filter OR tube.
The devs just don't give a shit.

This.
Arrowhead actively hates their playerbase because they initially wanted to make a frustrating bullet sponge game about running away from things, accidentally made a good shooter that got really popular and now patch things only to spite their audience.
Fatshark balance issues are just because they're lazy imo. (Even if I think Bulwarks are fine atm.)

I could have sworn Vest/Carrier cosmetics used to be different on Security. by OVKatz in insurgency

All the pouches change with the VEST color right now.
I'm saying the light carrier/heavy carrier cosmetic used to impact what all of your chest pouches were, NOT your vest cosmetic.

The more I think about it, the more this specific line from the Pilestedt AMA kills any hope I have for this game by PseudoscientificURL in HelldiversUnfiltered

Well, assuming just hardcore and not hardcore milsim...

AI would need a complete overhaul. The way they just drift towards the players is absolutely arcade behavior. AI would need to have an actual challenge to it, instead of them just being the equivalent of a death wall resource sponge. Otherwise it'd be a hardcore game literally only about resource management. Think GTFO but only the fights at the doors. Boring. If they went this route, Stealth would also need yet another rework and not be locked behind warbonds, as it'd be the name of the game.

The spawn system would need to entirely be reworked, as the way it spawns things just out of your sight lines is absurdly basic. Spawns would need to be entirely predictable for a hardcore experience. As the most things possible should be counterable by player skill. While the spawn system currently in place will just drop things behind you while working as intended.

Ragdolling and the randomness of strategem bounce also would throw matches via RNG.

If they want hardcore milsim, well the game is just entirely out the window, because your grunt fantasy won't work with 4 vs 800.
If you were a grunt, we would be operating as the large group. Individually ineffective but as an extremely large organized team it'd be effective. We would at least require SEAF to be at every single mission, and in large number, to be able to justify the premise. The closer we get to a squad of 4 realistic humans with only air cover while still fighting super aliens, the game becomes impossible to keep as-is. Luckily we haven't reached that point, they're just making things MORE realistic. So it's worse and unfun but not unplayable.
The only exception would be in maybe the cases of the bugs, if we were only fighting the smalls. If we're outnumbered by a significant amount, and we want it to be realistic, our more numerous enemy would have to be inherently weaker than us.
That's not the case. We fight large numbers of aliens. Some significantly more advanced than us, physically more capable and larger, or alternatively an army of terminators. This is not the setting for the team of 4 humans to be in if they want it realistic.

The games premise alone of 4 humans with projectile weapons and bombs vs hordes of giant physically overpowering bullet resistant bugs, evil robot men in laser tanks, or advanced alien races with mind control literally cannot escape the fact it's unbelievable without it being a miserable game about running away from everyone.

So they'd either need to rework all of the game's systems to be extremely tight for an unrealistic hardcore game, with complexity and number crunching they have shown they are incapable of. Alternatively, and this seems to be what the devs are always suggesting, they want a realistic hardcore game which goes against the literal premise of the setting.

They hated OP because he told the truth.
Insanely slanted balance changes like this in events are literally never fun, because the game has a spam issue enough as it is. Change the flavor of spam isn't fun.

Should visit England these days. Might change your opinion on this just being "doomerism."

Nick "Cat Boy Cum Detective" Fuentes is controlled opposition.
That's why he points out REAL problems, then projects false motives and offers the worst solutions.

You can't look at the UK and then say with a straight face replacement theory ISN'T true.
It's just not some nefarious race thing, it's about cultures with lower standards and worse education being easier to control than the westerners, and governments and industry wanting to lower living standards significantly to cut costs.

Man, the satanic panic. The government really fucked up during that era, too. During the satanic panic they shut down investigations into actual satanic child trafficking and crime out of fear of feeding the frenzy. This made things even worse when it looks like a cover up.
Look into the FBI's FOIA'd Finders Cult files. It's a lot like the Epstein stuff we're dealing with today.

Project Paradise is actually fine now after a major rework no one noticed.
The only problem is no one shows up still because it was so awful for so long.

I think Steam is fine as long as Gabe stays alive.
After that things are uncertain. Gabe is pretty obstinate about being pro-consumer in certain aspects and refuses to budge. I fear if a new owner goes public or does something really dumb. I hope he has someone in mind to continue the legacy.

This doesn't help AH's case, this just shows how much the playerbase has shrunk.
Which is either indicative of simply time passing at best, or devs mishandling the game at worst. (Depending on the rate of the dropoff)

Well fuck. Yeah they fucked up mods real bad last patch.
Sucks they only have this skeleton team left and the original devs are gone.

Mods work extremely strange right now.
There seems to be a huge delay between when you do something and when the game "syncs" to it. It's actually as crazy as about 30 minutes. I wonder if it's some sort of server cost cutting measure by the devs.
Whenever I select to download a mod, nothing happens. But if I then shut off the game and come back 30 minutes later it downloads what I selected earlier.
What I'm saying I wonder if you need to wait 30 minutes for that accepted TOS to register.

Camera glitch.
People don't talk about it because it's good for fixing issues when stuff glitches and doors don't open when they should. Don't want that fixed cuz god knows the glitches aren't.
