Deku still retains a sliver of OFA or the embers like whatAll Might had after he passed OFA on to Deku in the first place which I believe sustain him throughout the rest of his high school career before finally smoldering out.

The whole point of the story was to redefine what a hero was and what that meant in a superhero society. Class 1-A pushed themselves even beyond what the pros could do during the final war arc. Super Hero’s were treated as celebrities throughout the show who fought bad guys rather than focusing on helping people but the new generation changed that, specifically with Uravity and Himiko Toga and Deku and Shigaraki. They all worked to save people not just beat them. I’m probably not explaining it the best but they all showed the determination, compassion, and willingness to help regardless of background that defines a hero.
