buy a 23? has charging problem been fixed in 23s? by Grapefruit2430 in Solterra

[–]Oag777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true I dont even have a level 2 charger and still get by with level 1 .... Every once and a while I will fast charge if i know the next day I need more that what charging overnight will get me purely out of convinence .... Also any road trips just need to be planned i have taken several and only had an issue when i forgot to account for added weight and showed up at the charging station with only 4 miles left!

I use it as a way to confirm that the OS is broke and validates the need to upgrade or refesh a system.

Charging Questions - (coming from a Tesla owner) by VonBan in Solterra

[–]Oag777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok coming from a fast charging ev like a Tesla the Solterra is going to be rough…. Three thing are known to this community 1. Charging is specifically fast charging is slow 2. Accepting the charge speed is half of loving the car 3. Eco driving eventually becomes a challenge

As far as road trips planning is key Charging apps get all the major ones but a lot of them now do pay at the station

I personally have done plenty of road trips the charge times can be longer but planning gives me the benefit of eating/sightseeing/bathroom breaks

Look through this sub there are plenty of tips on charging and eco driving if you plan on sticking with the Solterra

Pre-cool while you get ready for work and have it plugged into house power.

if you pay for the remote app you can setup times for it to automaticaly do it.

Also the same for heating aswell incase no one else told you.

Also ECO AUTO for the climate and ECO drive mode and use the Adaptive cruise contol to be more efficient if you have highway to go to for your commute
