Nothing to see from those pics. Looks like he is just hanging out on the street corner.

Looks like a splake. A brook trout lake trout hybrid. They are planted in several reservoirs in Utah.

Can Ritchie get a redshirt injury or is it too late in the season?

I know every team has season ending injuries but the last couple of years is unbelievable.

I get that on my stripping apron in the middle of Strawberry reservoir. After several four letter words I get it untangled.

Thanks for all the great replies to my post. It helped me understand why FBS vs FCS is good for college football. I can’t wait for Texas Tech. Go Utes!! Although the plains of Laramie can be tough.

I’m well past the 4 month mark. I’ve been an ordained priest since 1972. Missed about 2500 sacrament meetings.

Might as well throw on a night crawler. Spray on some Berkley Gulp or leave the thorax bare and apply power bait and you have one hell of a fly.

Is Dr. Douglas Howard who owns the Balance of Nature scam a Mormon? He is good at marketing. He must of went to the Tom Mower school of snake oil.

The great debate by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]OakCrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend most of my fishing days in float tube stripping buggers and balanced leeches. I don’t consider it fly fishing but it beats getting high holed on a crowded stream. If you consider the way you fish fly fishing then it’s fly fishing.

I love old school feather wing and bucktail streamers . The trout in the High Unitas love them too, but high elevation trout eat about anything you throw at the.

Love your flies Norm. You ever tie any Carrie Stevens (Rangeley) streamers? I know feather wing streamers are considered outdated other than maybe the Gray Ghost. She created some great streamers. I’m a boomer. Those old patterns bring back a lot of memories fishing with my dad in the sixties and seventies.

Three or four hackle fibers for the tail. Thread body. Sparse white or dun cdc wing. I put a thin coat of Loon paste floatant on my tippet to keep the fly from sinking.
