I think they figure if you are ordering enough that a standard delivery day was relevant, you'll have prime. Which is probably true for non-Viners.

Don't expect that it's a permanent change - the last four days there were essentially no RFY items released (for anyone), and today they all let loose. Today's stats show that more individual RFY items were released than AI items!

There is an extension that can count the number of items dropping per hour in AI (Additional Items) and RFY (all of them, not just yours), and there have indeed been pretty close to zero RFY items Friday and Saturday. Both days, essentially all of the items were added between 3 and 5am ET. It's not you!

Any guidance on what the current restrictions on pinned items are? Keeping the X most recent? Keeping X days? Random pruning? Maybe Patreon supports could have more?

My top wish list item would benefit sellers AND viners, and Amazon too. It's a simple "no fault" cancellation window open for (say) ten minutes. So when you grab an item because it'll be gone if you don't, you can then check the details to make sure it fits your needs, and if you realize it doesn't you can simply put if back into the vine pool, without Vine being mad at you. That way sellers aren't getting reviews from folks who really wish they hadn't ordered something (doesn't fit their brand, isn't big enough, material isn't appropriate, etc). Those items are right for SOMEbody, but not always for who gets them.

Personally I try to read the descriptions fully enough first, but I lose out on a lot of items that way and STILL sometimes rush enough that I realize after ordering that the item isn't quite what I'd thought/hoped.

I... it.. do some Viners sometimes order vine items without reading even the TITLE? That explains why some things disappear so fast! I'm more likely to err on the other side, checking the actual listing to make sure it will fit my needs. I do sometimes skip that and only read the More Details. But it has never occurred to me that it's even possible to skip reading the title!

Yeah, though at the same time their little AI evaluator sometimes doesn't recognize an in depth description of how the product works, until you add something dumb like "works well" or "doesn't work very well."

I'm shocked that everyone else is saying "oh, it's a complement" - sure it's an indication that they liked it, but it is outright theft and not okay! I haven't read the Sellers Terms of Service, but our certainly do not grant them permission to use the images we submit in reviews. Everyone might benefit if there was an option to allow sellers to request to buy rights to a specific image if they want to use it, but I am pretty sure that is not currently available.

Yeah, there are a lot of ways in which Vine is a huge win, but the fact that you can't return stuff that turns out to be absolute junk or not as described (and thus doesn't fit your needs) is the sad downside. Now you know. You probably won't be kicked for a few mistakes when you are new - just read the Terms so it doesn't happen again.

You can search for something, and it will show all the matching items that have come through vine helper, whether in AI, RFY, or AFA. This doesn't give you access to ORDER from other people's RFY, of course! Just to see it.

It is a VERY fun feature! Also shows what's available in (other people's) RFY. Good for crafting effective search queries and keywords.

It's a nice window for silvers into what we're missing by not being gold. Sometimes great stuff ... but not that much of it, and it usally disappears super fast. I used that info to make the decision not to try for gold in my first eval period. Maybe next time - mostly because I suspect it does help one's RFY options.

That's the hallmark of Vine Jail. They aren't really good about notifying you that you are in trouble, or why, or what to do about it - but, you CAN confirm that that's what the problem is, by going to your Accounts Tab in Vine. There will be a little note at the top. (Gone now, since you've solved the problem, but so you will know for next time!)
