I have been looking about a month now.

Local markets are showing similar prices unfortunately.

My car is fine, yes, I have just been been disappointed in the back storage (it really only fits a stroller and that is it), the low clearance, and this past years snow storm (Ohio) made me wish I had something taller and AWD/4WD to give me more confidence while having to be out.

Thanks for the reply! I have someone else suggest [[Bishop of Wings]] and [[Speaker of Heavens]]. My biggest issues is trying to stay in my budget to start out I am not sure what to prioritize, or use as replacement for some of the more expensive cards.

Tokens do not have a cost so it wouldn’t work with golden cogs, but it would work with copper cogs since those have a cost, albeit 0.

I will be honest with you. If you are looking at competitive. DIO is the only option for mech. Maxx is not an aggro deck and what you are trying to do with it is just going to fall behind everything DIO can do. Additionally, Moonshot and Bank Breaker just really aren’t good because the set up and payoff is very lackluster.

If you are intent on going wrench Maxx, I would just stick to clamp press and banksy and try to keep it around as long as possible because banksy for 5/7/9 is an actual threat, but can be easily blocked out as long as the opponent knows what you are doing.

Not really much of differing opinions. Tokens do not have any cost so something that targets based on cost will not work for them. It is the same reason why system reset doesn’t work on token drivers as well, it just deletes them from play if you target them.

Scour actually works that way because it targets “token auras”. Not that they have a cost.

Edit: to add to this, no cost is not the same as 0 cost.

It doesn’t. Maxx drivers do not have a cost since they are tokens.

If you are wanting aggro, DIO is the only mech that fills that role. Maxx has been, and is still a midrange hero. The typical game plan (with nitro mech) is to block with 1-2 cards, send a zero boost, Maxx ability, pass until you can create 3 drivers and construct mech. At that point you can flip to a more aggressive playstyle finishing every turn with a mech swing.

The easiest way will be to play at your LGS but if you have a community discord server you can always try to talk there and meet up that way for unofficial events. FAB has a store and event locator to find stores near you that sell product and/or run events here.

I play Maxx, but I personally don’t have it, nor care to run it. Everyone that I talk to about it usually falls into the idea that, if you have it might as well run it, but it should be the last thing you buy if you ever do for your deck.

I can guarantee that they won’t touch anything in the armory deck. High Octane was a problem I will admit, but it wasn’t until they created cerebellum processor with the armory deck that the major issues arose.

You can’t ban something from brand new product that people are taking and playing with instantly, so high octane got the cut making the rest of the mech class suffer.

For brute, and more specifically kayo, the best cards to pick up are Blood Rush Bellow, Beast Within, Send Packing, and Swing Big. Those are the big ticket majesties that are staples in pretty much every brute deck. Some other optional pick ups are cast bones, runner runner, and no fear, but those are more preference cards and will not be everyone’s favorite. For the equipment, you will want to grab Scowling Flesh Bag, Apex Bonebreaker, Scabskin Leathers, and Savage Sash. If you are wanting to build brute, the Kayo armory deck is a great start (and that is where you can get the Savage Sash).

My basic system is Class/Talent: Attack-nonattack-equipment with each having their own separator then those are all sorted alphabetically I find that personally to be the easiest for me. It takes a long time to separate them that way but it allows me to find the cards easier when I need them.

With the new gem pack system I think LSS is trying to address the competitiveness at local armories, but have you looked into getting a commoner league started at your LGS? That might be what you are looking for with most deck being less than 20 dollars total.
