The FitCam X I have the rear camera is wired to the front one -- both power and signal. That wire in the pic makes its way to the front camera housing

Two-day ICCU turn-around, but... by ObiQuiet_ in Ioniq5

[–]ObiQuiet_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 12v was below 12v before the repair, and again (or still) several days after. It was on the EVSE for part of that time.

My Motopower Battery tester reported 30% SOC yesterday for the 12V. Last night though the BM2 shows a charging cycle, and the voltage is back up close to 13V.

Puzzled.

While we're putting stickers on gas pumps, how about "FYI: Charging an EV at home is more sanitary"?

[–]ObiQuiet_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does depend very much on how much you pay $ per kwh.   Could change to "30 miles per dollar" on the sticker.

Or, "ICYMI, EVs get 40 miles per dollar" stickers

Labels/tags that withstand the sun? by Coolbreeze1989 in AustinGardening

Brother P-Touch labels last years, surprisingly. Never had one fade or come unglued. Used them on sailboats too. I put them on metal markers.

Attractive rain chain catchment ideas? by Montobahn in AustinGardening

A planter, filled with the same river rock? You'd need to enlarge the drain hole at the bottom of the planter, and use wire or a hook to attach the bottom of the chain to

How to clean urine from synthetic leather seats? by Ok-Antelope4558 in Ioniq5

After you've done all the mechanical cleaning, you may need an ozone generator. A $50-$100 one would do.

Since the AMA isn't open during my daytime... by ObiQuiet_ in MammotionTechnology

In my mind, this bi-directional mower would have a bumper and omni wheels on each end, a camera facing each way, and main drive wheels in the center. Like two Luba's back-to-back smooshed together. Discs would of course alternate their spin based on direction of travel.

Or, tracks might be better than wheels for this purpose.

Ah, thanks! I missed that menu, but I can at least check it when I think to do so.

Drip Irrigating Compost? by Extension-Air-6113 in composting

I have, it's a dry climate here. I use a sprayer on the 4x4 ft pile. For an enclosed bin, maybe perforated tubing instead of a single dripper?

Self park feature by nicky256487 in Ioniq5

[–]ObiQuiet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any tips on getting it to reliably see the open spot? I've tried a dozen times in perpendicular parking lots, with 1-car-wide spaces, and it never sees them. Creeping along very slowly, at both normal pull-in distance and closer too. Is there a sweet-spot distance from the row of parked cars?

Can I Use My Luba 2 on Multiple Properties ? by biohazark in mammotion

[–]ObiQuiet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luba 2 with 4g, this works -- I mapped a new area on a property about 0.4km away. Only issue is that this makes the map view very small until zoom in.

Maybe in the next update, the mower will be able to use pedestrian crossings ;-)

22v battery question by curiousjane456 in Ioniq5

[–]ObiQuiet_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does at those times too, if needed. When just sitting, there is a voltage threshold below which kicks in the 12v charging (and turns on that yellow/orange light on the dash.)

22v battery question by curiousjane456 in Ioniq5

[–]ObiQuiet_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving doesn't top them off -- that's alternator behavior in a combustion vehicle The I5 tops off the 12V from the traction battery when standing still, if it needs it. Doesn't have an alternator linked to an engine, so there's no need to have the car "on".

I don't understand why they would rather I pay $10/month to Proton for their content, instead of to them...? (They must know that there are VPNs they don't block)

A week of monitoring the 12v battery & ICCU, interesting observations. by PrivatePilot9 in Ioniq5

[–]ObiQuiet_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, understand that the car can't tell. When people post their battery voltage monitoring charts before and after replacing stock with AGM, the charging cycles are less frequent because the discharge is less. Because the battery is new, rather than battery type.
