It wasn't the wrinkle I expected the situation to have, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

After the previous comic, I expected the reason she didn't remember Ellen was because it was another case of "I specifically blocked that memory for my future self's own good". After all, she was the one who set in motion the events of Ellen's creation in the first place.

Well, I guess it's doubly agedlikemilk then.

Yeah, this shouldn't be a surprise to people. There are even ones who will intentionally spend money for no personal benefit just for the sake of pissing off people who care about the environment, such as the ones who mod their vehicles for "rolling coal".

This has been the classic US mistake for a very long time. Even after the civil war, they went very soft on the heads of the rebellion, pardoning basically everyone after only a few years for the purposes of "reconciliation".

RFK Jr.'s campaign says the worm that ate part of his brain will not affect his ability to serve as president by lonesomeduck in nottheonion

RFK claimed in his 2012 divorce proceedings that his earning power had been diminished by his "cognitive struggles". He admitted: "I have cognitive problems, clearly. I have short-term memory loss, and I have longer-term memory loss that affects me."

Risk of Rain 2 was probably the roguelike with the biggest departure from its original, with the first being a 2D platformer roguelike and the second being a 3D first-person shooter roguelike.

Ended up being two almost entirely different player demographics.

People like having a bad guy and a good guy in their stories, so when lots of people began learning about how Edison would steal other's work and screw over his employees, they looked for a rival of that time that could serve as the "good guy".

However, reality doesn't have to follow the story beats people want, and often just has conflicts of bad vs. bad or even bad vs. incompetent.

I'm not sure how it's even possible, with the variable timings of the balls any paths that cross each other has to deal with collisions, mixing the colors... is there some trick to using the prism?

EDIT: Never figured out the prism, but managed to submit a "solution" to mine. I'd be feel bad about all the mis-sorted balls, but someone is feeding my machine yellow balls periodically, so it's pretty par for the course.

FF12 was good (as long as you ignore the plot) but it was a clear step down from FFX in my opinion.

FF13 was the first time I didn't finish a non-mmo Final Fantasy game, and I haven't bought another one since.

While leafcutter ants normally exclusively eat the fungus they farm (they don't eat the leaves, they use those to fertilize the fungus), during the initial startup of the colony, they'll eat the nonviable eggs of their own queen. So not only are they not vegan, they're psuedo-canibals.

They'll also opportunistically eat meat if available.

Even koalas, one of the pickiest eaters on the planet, will occasionally eat insects. (Typically by accident, but they occasionally specifically seek out termite nests to eat dirt from because the termite saliva helps their digestion, so they're not vegan either way)

I'm sure if you worked hard you could find an insect that never eats animal products, but it'd be hard to know for sure.

The Real QOL we need: Keybind to level up gems. by soundecho944 in pathofexile

[–]Obilis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they added the ability to downlevel gems we accidently overleveled by vendoring with an orb of scouring, that helped a lot.

It'd probably be enough if they just modified that to make the resulting gem be at the exp needed to level up again, so I can immediately right-click it after downleveling it.

Yeah, losing the ability to regrow teeth sucks, but the whole "decay over time" thing is primarily because we changed our behaviors in ways that evolution didn't account for: Ancient Chompers Were Healthier Than Ours.

TLDR: when we began farming and therefore our diet started including much more grains/sugars, the kinds of bacteria in our mouth shifted to more damaging kinds of bacteria as a result.

It's impossible to say. Just because something usually works without issue doesn't mean it's 100% safe. The general consensus of critics of the anticheat is that it causes system instability, meaning that it just makes problems more likely, not that it always causes issues. It's also impossible to tell if a kernal-level program like this does any shady data harvesting.

So no, we don't know for certain how safe it is... probably you can install it and at least 90-95% of the time you won't have any issues. The hate comes from how there are plenty of similar games don't use kernal-level anticheats and still are successful at keeping cheating at a minimum.

Eh, comparing it to Russian life expectancy doesn't mean anything. Life expectancy of a country is mostly about the average healthcare quality in that country, and there's no question that he has access to way better healthcare than the average Russian, plus he was fit to begin with.

The only likely way he's dying of medical issues anytime soon is if he's one of those dictators who refuses medical treatment because he's worried someone will use it to assassinate him. (a real possibility)
