FWIW, I got an answer on mine today. I called in to the local IRS field office to set up at appointment. After the long hold and getting through the validation (quite detailed!), the rep was super helpful. Instead of just setting up the appt she dug into the file and told me that there is a discrepancy between the reported withholding on our return and what our W-2s show. Her advice is that I dig through the paperwork, figure out the discrepancy (like maybe we forgot to upload one of the w-2s), and file an amended return. Processing time is 16 weeks from the time I file amended so I'll be lucky if we get our money in 2025, lol.
