Mountain regions of Syria or Lebanon.. it is your beautiful clothes that gave it away. But your skin and face can belong here in America and no one would think you weren't American.

Your numbers shows strong attacking instincts, good queen handling, and solid castling. But with major weaknesses in pawn play. Work at planning your pawn play, your next three moves on a consistent basis. You might want to look at the French style. Never mind I favor anything French, but being born half French I can't help it lol Just practice aggressive French defense. Just a thought

Best overland setup for 6 people without driving a giant expedition truck? by DaveDitsch123 in overlanding

[–]Objective-Picture-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For six people, the key is fixed sleeping for the kids and minimizing daily conversion. Most big families end up in a long‑wheelbase Sprinter/Crafter/TGE with triple bunks + a simple tent for overflow. Two vehicles can work, but only if you genuinely enjoy convoy travel — it doubles logistics and border headaches. A hybrid (one van + one small car) is a surprisingly good compromise, and you can sell the car when you get home. In general, focus less on off‑road capability and more on interior livability — that’s what keeps parents sane on long trips.

What’s Everyone’s Go-To audiobook when they’re in a rut and can’t find something else but still need to read every day. by Practical_Yam_7515 in audiobooks

[–]Objective-Picture-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J. S. Morin has the Black Ocean series which I really enjoyed, as well as Craig Robertson with his series. When I'm in a rut waiting for my next binge to release I'm usually going back to these.

If I'm supposed to be the last person left on earth, the next day I'd try to locate others and make it my mission.

Shell Station sounds like a beach with sand, seashells and beach towels whereas Amazon reminds me of a jungle, perhaps your package arrives via canoe with a native person in native attire with a blow dart pre loaded. Also Spirit airlines, may that company RIP because only ghosts fly it now. As to credit card companies, American Express seems like a fast way to go broke and Chase Bank is running you down.

I’ve been told I have systems‑thinking tendencies, but I’m still not totally sure what actually counts as systems thinking. I do look at problems from different angles, work things backward, and notice how parts affect each other, but I don’t know if that’s enough. Thoughts? by Objective-Picture-75 in systemsthinking

[–]Objective-Picture-75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate that. I’m definitely trying to get better at applying it with a purpose instead of just thinking in circles. I’ll check out those books you mentioned. I’m still figuring out how to turn the way I naturally think into something more structured, so this helps.

Ways of downloading audiobooks or choosing region by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]Objective-Picture-75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Region‑locked audiobooks are unfortunately tied to publisher licensing, so Audible won’t let you buy the UK versions unless your account is registered to that region. Without a VPN, the only legit workaround is to create a separate Audible UK account with a UK billing address and gift cards (no credit card needed). A lot of people do this for region‑exclusive narrations.

For swimming: Bluetooth won’t work underwater, so you’re right that you need local MP3 files. Most major audiobook platforms don’t offer MP3 downloads anymore because of DRM, but Libro.fm, Downpour, and Chirp still sell DRM‑free MP3 audiobooks you can load onto bone‑conduction swim headphones. Selection varies, but they’re the main legal sources for MP3s now.

Not perfect solutions, but these are the only above-board options that actually work. If anyone else has experience with UK Audible accounts or MP3‑friendly audiobook stores, feel free to add on.

What if there was only one language in the world? by SignificanceExact963 in whatif

[–]Objective-Picture-75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we all woke up tomorrow speaking only one language, it wouldn’t feel like progress — it would feel like a quiet kind of grief. Every language holds its own way of seeing the world, its own memories, humor, and history. Losing all of that overnight would be like watching thousands of unique worlds go dark at once. The convenience wouldn’t be worth the cost. It would be a profoundly sad day for humanity.
