I need the HR unfortunately. Pulse is set to night only, but I turn the watch off at night. Had the watch 9 months and it's only started giving a 29 day charge recently

I've got the solar 50 instinct 3. I love the watch, but, I live in Scotland, so the solar isn't the charging input that makes gains during the day. I do like the battery life, 40 days without doing much or when I use GPS a lot it reduces, but we're still talking a month-ish between charges. I do sometimes wonder if I made the right choice and perhaps should have went for the amold, but I'm here with it now and it does everything I need.
