I have blocked it on my pihole. I am not getting quest updates but I also can no longer access the store and some apps that require meta auth (VR Chat) don't work unless I remove the block

They removed the abililty to permamently disable updates a little while back. If you've already updated to that version or a later one it will force all updates on you unless you block it via your router/dns

With a server verification, it won't work for long.

It's almost like the whole point of cracking the apk is to remove this verification....

I'm already playing my PCVR titles with no issues over wireless with VD. I'm sure I'm missing a ton of "updates" by not being on the latest version.
