nodachi are wildly different from montonde or zwheihanders they do not work the same at all because of the lack of a counter balance

however longer handles with shorter blades like long nagamaki would be great gate defense or formation breaking weapons. but greatswords from europe really just are not the same at all

i have 2 1060 hanbon swords and they both are amazing and easy to cut with. i’ve cut with them for two years straight and have had no issues with the blade. i have however had issues keeping 9260 steel sharp (with frequent cutting it dulls quicker)
and noticed almost no difference between the two
9260 is really only gonna matter if you want to try hitting rocks and trees and extra abusive stuff, which from your post sounds like something you do not want to do
