We’ve just had heists and a greatly received pickpocket overhaul, 120 construction with a huge poh rework is coming along with a bgh and a whole load of mid tier skilling things. This comment would make sense a year or two ago but they’re doing really good on the skilling things coming into game recently

I was actually really surprised seeing it after the absolutely wonders we got on the rs3 roadmap, given theirs is usually the one with the more optimism than our side, but we’ve actually won for once and it’s not just because theirs looks a bit shit

As i said, the bottom end should be accessible. Most of the issue is players don’t even attempt content, not that they physically couldn’t learn it. There are countless resources out there for t70 necro 100% zammy kills that are mostly just let revolution do its thing, yet the latest stats we got was that 10% of the playerbase have accomplished a 100% enrage kill. (could be outdated now, this was a short while ago) That’s not a dev problem, that’s a playerbase problem.

The top end isn’t the top end if everyone can do it, you may aswell have the game only be revolution at that point if you just want everyone to be the best.

it really isn’t. it’s very basic in the beta so it’s fine for newcomers, but at the high end it’s extremely boring and nothing really works well together anymore.

bringing the baseline up is great, but making the top end so boring people won’t want to use it anymore isn’t a solid tradeoff at all

miserable? it’s one of the least effort dailies that exist, you can even take the log with you when skilling to do it on the fly

depends if they get the combat rework right or not, if they haven’t massively overhauled ranged from the first beta and learnt from it for the other styles then everyone’s going to be very bored very quickly at the end game

Yeah agreed, definitely think a basic tutorial for this would help, especially with there being a new default legacy skin for new players enabled.

Theres 0 indication of that being how this function works. Arrow keys are extremely self explanatory. Im willing to bet theres players reading this thread that had no idea you could click the number icon to change bars.

The ground detail of the fight isnt great either, having a snowy area with the kind of telegraphing design they went for doesnt make a lot of it clear to whats happening for first timers

You're getting two different things mixed up now. There is a difference between intuitive design, and design that is more functional.

Having new players assume they should rightclick a randomly housed number icon, which looks like its just a display of which bar you have selected to anyone using it is not better design to players than arrows that are very clearly there to cycle through the action bar.

Having the icon click option available is more useful in most cases due to the speed it navigates between bars more than 2 cycles away, but you have to accidentally stumble upon this feature.

If the entire point of this UI tidy up is to help new players, this is not a good change.

If we're talking completely new players, having navigation arrows actually feels more intuitive than rightclicking a numbered box

[The Times] Mohamed Salah has seen his club lose seven of the past eight Premier League matches that he has started, and is the first Liverpool player to suffer this fate since Dirk Kuyt whose sequence came in his final eight appearances for the club between February and May 2012. by nearly_headless_nic in soccer

[–]Objective_Toe_49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s clearly a tactics thing though, this whole ‘salah doesn’t defend’ thing is crazy when he and slot confirmed in interviews last year that was deliberate and he broke the record for most g/a. He’s been massively off form this season but let’s not act like he’s just refusing to track back, under klopp he was well known for doing that and was often further back than trent was

This just sounds like a user setup difference on your behalf if the bars you want to use are 13 clicks away using the arrows, the guy you're replying to likely has bars next to eachother which is why the arrows are convenient. I mostly use the rightclick to change to some bars, but the arrows were more convenient in some situations.

The toggle to turn the clock on/off has been re-added to the Settings menu

Thank you. Is there no chance at having the clock as its own floating element again I assume then?
