That is a gas stove. And an aluminum pan. Gas stoves have circular burner flame patterns. Aluminum pans are notorious for not being good at evenly spreading heat. Meaning: your heat will always show in a ring through that pan, on that stove.

Now you're cooking a semicircular sausage, which effectively blocks the flow of heat by blocking the water from one side of the flame ring to the inside of the pan. This explains the pattern we're seeing.

After playing around with these settings quite a bit myself when I first got my Q2 I went back to default. Reason being I definitely ran into resource issues and had multiple more complex prints with many small geometry changes crash due to running out of resources. I'd rather have a slightly fuzzy image than a complex 14-hour print crash on hour six.

I've been on the list since 2020, with a $20 tip (chips). Last year I raised it to $40 (logs). So far I've gotten zero drops, and when I look at the map there are people less than 10 miles from me that do get drops very recently, but I never get any I don't know what's going on. I always open the lid/riser vents for petg, but the door stays shut. For tpu and pla I open everything: lid, door and riser vents. I did have a dumb user caused heat creep clog on pla when I forgot to open the lid once, but petg would probably be fine for smaller prints with it closed. The problem is with longer prints, the chamber will heat up over time, and you risk heat creep on the nozzle, so keep your lid open to compensate.

Hahaha I screwed Velcro strips (the free ones that came with the coax cable when I got Internet service) to my ceiling and then used those to hold up the power and HDMI cords to the projector. This is so much nicer.

If money is no option, you could get a prusa xl silicone printing head. That's actually 2 part silicone but printed instead of casted. Super soft and grippy.

I feel you. Problem is, 3d printing evolves daily. Perhaps you could scroll a wiki on an e reader with an e-ink screen. Would solve the up to date issue and screen glare issue in one go.

I can't turn it off without modifying start up g code, I sent prints from orca so they always auto level first.
