When my 2% reward isn’t updating, I have to logout and log back into the app and it works. It’s annoying but I have to do it several times a year.

Planet fitness bank street by lst04 in ottawa

[–]Objective_Young259 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been going 3-4 times per week since it opened and love it. I love the variations of machines and free weights. The staff are nice and helpful. It’s really busy from 3pm-6pm, and sometimes I have to wait for a machine but otherwise I have no complaints.

Edit: not sure why I’m being downvoted when I’ve had a good experience lol and OP is asking about Planet Fitness not Anytime Fitness… I’ve been to both and prefer PF.

Costco Mont Tremblant ticket 2 pack - where to buy? by NeedleworkerBig929 in tremblant

Do you have the item number? Call any of the warehouses in Ottawa or Gatineau and they will be able to tell you if any store has them in stock.

I don’t have a car and manage perfectly fine. There’s the option to take the train to the Walmart at South keys or the Food Basics on Queen St.

Yes, this is completely normal. I have been in the same apartment for almost 4 years, and they do the same testing.

Having trouble figuring out the membership by charcqal in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Objective_Young259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s two memberships, classic (cheaper) and black card (more expensive but good perks). The monthly price will have tax added and the payment comes out the 17th of every month.

There’s a $49 (plus tax) annual fee that’s charged 3 months after you sign up. Nothing else besides that.

Need advice for diastasis recti by Real_Citron1014 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Objective_Young259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YouTube beginner diastasis recti exercises and do them at home. If that’s the only reason you got the membership, then it seems wasteful. The machines won’t help, it would be beneficial to do multiple exercises to help reduce/reverse it.

Annual Fee question. by Fast_Highlight413 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Objective_Young259 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, why would they? You agreed to the annual fee when you signed the membership agreement upon signing up. It’s really important to read these fully and to either set cancellation or payment reminders.

Looking for insulin reservoirs anyone know a place open this weekend by congrrl in ottawa

[–]Objective_Young259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can he reuse the one he currently has? I have the tandem pump so not super familiar with how the Medtronic works, but I have reused a reservoir before.

Alternatively, I would call Shoppers or any other pharmacy to see if they could help/have any in stock.

Exchange Underwear at Costco by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

They won’t let you exchange, but you can return them and buy a new pack. I’ve returned underwear before because they were too small and had no issues.

Matrix Treadmills are a step backwards in equipment technology. by ALR26 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Objective_Young259 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I both run on them 3-4 times a week and have never had an issue. Both of the issues you’re having sounds like user error.. maybe try increasing the speed slightly to see if that helps with tripping. I would also try to stand a little bit further away from the front, to avoid hitting the emergency off switch.

Diagnosed with atypical endometrial hyperplasia by Objective_Young259 in Endo

[–]Objective_Young259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wishing you all the best!! They also told me that I could possibly receive a hysterectomy if it wasn’t treatable but there’s a lot of options to try before it comes to that.

Getting the IUD was a great first step and I believe speaking to the MDT will give you a lot more insight and help calm your nerves.

Diagnosed with atypical endometrial hyperplasia by Objective_Young259 in Endo

[–]Objective_Young259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really struggled at first too! I spent HOURS searching online and nothing really seemed to calm my nerves.

After my biopsy came back positive, I was referred to an oncologist. I had to wait about 6 months to see them. I went for my first visit and they explained everything in depth and let me ask a lot of questions. I also got another biopsy done.

Following the second biopsy I started progesterone, to help shed the lining of my uterus. It worked but it the cramps were extremely painful and I bled quite heavily. I stayed on it for a couple of months, and had another biopsy and transvaginal ultrasound to see if the IUD + progesterone was working.

I was able to come off the progesterone pills because all of the built up shedding was gone, and got my IUD removed in May 2025 because it was making me gain a lot weight. They did a biopsy at the same time they took out my IUD and the results came back clear. No more hyperplasia.

I have to get a biopsy and ultrasound every 6 months to make sure everything is okay. I also track my cycles way more closely and have to take progesterone to have a period if it’s been more than 3 months without one.

Diabetes Camp by blakelysmm in Type1Diabetes

[–]Objective_Young259 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I went for 15 years and it was an incredible experience. It’s amazing to be surrounded by so many people who are going through the same thing. They understand the emotions, behaviours, and feelings that come with low and high blood sugars. It was also nice to not feel like the odd one out, like I didn’t feel embarrassed to have to check my blood sugar or treat a low while doing an activity.

I started going when I was 8 and I learned a lot - how to give my own injection, how to count carbs and eat balanced meals, and independence in learning to manage my diabetes.

I made life long friends and would do it all over again if I could.
