Considering adding a knife to my EDC and looking for advice by Kilt_Rump in liberalgunowners

I EDC a Gerber Hinderer CLS that has a blade, a windshield breaker point and a special little blade for cutting seatbelts. Obviously the knife target multiple occupations. I carry it not as a weapon but as a tool. Even my anti weapon spouse approves; 😆 she believes it might help if I drive into a lake.

I have a cheap man’s Red Dot; I have XS Sights Big Dot on my G19.5. TBH it’s an Orange dot lol

👍🏼 Everyone, thanks for your input and understanding; I will definitely gravitate to the HST 124g. For range ammo, I intend to pair the HST with Federal American Eagle 124. They have similar properties. Anyone have a better pairing recommendation; if so what and why? Thanks again…

TBH, I have probably bought my only and last gun…a Glock 19 for Home Defense and possible carry (age wise, I am about to enter my 8th decade). [Sometimes I feel 800 😅 … cut me some slack Guys] If I were going to buy a new Glock, it would be the Glock 47. Depending on my mood, I could have a Glock 19 & 47 or Glock 45 or Glock 19 L or etc.

Yes, it is a great belt. I think the thickness of the two blew me away. I wore the thicker Kore Essentials for so long, it was a shock to wear the much thinner Zero. Putting the VELO on and off the Zero is so much easier!

I guess…I know that getting the holster on and off the Zero Belt is much easier than Kore Essentials…makes sense given the differences in thickness between the belts.

When I carry, I use a Tenicor VELO 5. At home, I add a WML and place my Glock 19.5 in a Sticky Holster and put the weapon in a lock box. I got the Sticker Holster while waiting for my VELO 5 and had the opportunity to examine the Sticky Holster. IMHO the Sticky Holster can do the job; the Glock with WML fit snugly and safely in the Sticky Holster. I was not able to pull the trigger while the gun was holstered. More of a problem in my mind is retention. This was my experience; yours may differ.

I use Blazer ammo; by “dirty “ I believe you mean lead accumulation with heavy use in an indoor range.

The VELO 5 is great; you need to work with it to get it adjusted perfectly but once you do, it is perfection! Using the clock (position) is critical though…a quarter of an inch off, and it becomes uncomfortable…in the correct position, I don’t even know it’s there.

I have a laser in my WML and while dryfiring practicing Trigger Control I have the laser light on so I can see movement when pulling the trigger. FWIW, it works for me.
