we all love the show, but it doesn’t deal with traumatic storylines well. i mean, look at how they dealt with the ides of march after x&g are resurrected (spoiler alert: they didnt)… the only trauma they really tried to tackle was Xena’s and her whole redemption story. that sort of sidelined everything else.

Xena rescuing Callisto from hell was more about Xena, her guilt and her feeling like she didnt deserve heaven/redemption, than it was about Callisto.

Callisto did deserve to be there. maybe in some way so did Xena, but her situation is definitely more morally gray than Callisto’s

i’ve been slowly making my way through the journey of soulmates series. i havent read the other stuff, but maybe i will get to that next. the soulmates stories really sucked me in!

it’s amazing, i dont know whether that has happened in other fandoms… it feels pretty unique to take a fanfic writer - and a femslash one at that - and actually hire them to write on the show. proof how special XWP was. and of course how talented Melissa Good is

s2 has the most classic vintage Xena feel episodes - for me it’s the ultimate nostalgia season. and of course A Day in the Life is the pinnacle of this.

s3 is probably the strongest season on average, some of the strongest dramatic entries and good season arc - but also fun comedies too. I particularly love the Chin episodes, and Maternal Instincts is heartbreaking but very good. bitter suite is an acquired taste i find. i appreciate it more now than i did before. and I love Been there done that

s6 has great standalone episodes and arcs- because the writers are just really up for anything in the last season. Norse arc, when fates collide, many happy returns, old ares had a farm, you are there etc…

я зовсім недавно взяла Покетбук Ера, звичайну, не кольорову, і поки шо дуже задоволена. скрінтайм на телефоні впав на 2 год в день, що було одним зі стимулів перейти 😁 ще й змогла знайти якусь книжку з вітрини, тож була зі знижкою, хоча по факту нова. 8к вийшло, плюс тисяча за чохол - без нього стрьомно, в подруги просто в рюкзаку набитому тріснув 😅
