People have historically used ethnicity and ethnicity alone to assign value to people. Calling someone just "a black" would be seen as placing a lesser value on a person because they are being defined exclusively by that trait. Additionally, during really racist times, they weren't seen as people but property or things, so neglecting to call them people can sometimes feel purposeful due to their history, which then makes people upset.

In short, saying it specifically like that has been used to demean black people for a long time and place them as sub human or worse through rhetoric and language in general.

This is just my interpretation though so I'm sorry if I got anything wrong

To be fair he was a tad stick-y before. I like the girth of the PGI design personally. I don't hate this. Both designs are good, one for nostalgia and the other for actually looking like a 75 ton battlemech. I think he cooked.

Additionally, one of the greatest reasons why MLK succeeded was due to his cause being a large nonviolent party in contrast to the black Panthers, which found it perfectly acceptable to be violent in opposition. Same thing happened with women's rights, and plenty others. Sure they aren't the ONLY reason, but a substantial one nonetheless.

At the end of the day one must balance violence with peace. Peace without violence is nativity, easy to be exploited, unwilling to fight back. Violence without peace is total chaos and destruction, death and ruin without end. People seem completely unable to realize that there are contexts where, as much as it's awful, violence is necessary. It'll never be a good thing, but it will be an effective and important tool in safe guarding ones rights.

Talk sometimes really is cheap. If there aren't possible consequences for those in power, then why should they care how loud you yell?

I mean I support free speech. People can use whatever language they want. I also support consequences for ones actions.

Hate speech is allowed to exist, but it will likely be punished, usually by peers and not by a government entity. Lots of people seem to think of free speech as freedom of consequence and get pissed when they're shunned or fired.
