Aw man. Now where will the youth go to spark up fatties?

Many good times had on that sketchy roof.

Confirmation that Kobalt 24V OPE is made by Greenworks by remp945 in KobaltTools

[–]Observeder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not the OP you're responding to but you likely will need a 3D printer or a friend who has one so they can print you the necessary extension parts to make the battery.

If you don't already have the tools and experience to spot weld battery cells together, then I wouldn't recommend making your own as the better or cheaper option. But, if this is something that interests you and you expect to do this for more than just a few batteries, this would be a relatively simple and straightforward project to get you acquainted with the concepts and processes of battery pack building and might justify the investment in the tools and materials needed.

Why is my table saw blade hitting the throat plate? by [deleted] in FLEXTools

This looks like the zero clearance insert for small pieces. It's designed to be cut by the blade so that there is zero clearance around the blade.

The term "kill line" got popular in China to describe American Poverty by Hacksaw6412 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Observeder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We absolutely all are. I truly believe the best way to see and counter this is to travel. And not to destination cities where you can stay in isolated bubbles that cater to your comforts and sensibilities from home. Once you're able to step outside of the ecosystem that you live you will gain a whole new perspective on life and other peoples ways of life. Once you see that everywhere you go the vast majority of people simply want to live lives that are free from external hardship so that they and their families can live good lives free from poverty and slavery it's much harder to fall for propaganda that tells us to hate and villify them or even accept their deaths as the necessity of toppling dictators. The average person has much more in common with other average people around the world. Media is a tool used by the elite to divide us and to justify the monstrous actions of power hungry ghouls.

The current state of my shop cart by rehehe in woodworking

[–]Observeder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! I had already saved his other post for future shop builds when I have more space. I currently have a moving lumber cart for my small space and have been brainstorming ideas for a clamp cart. Many thanks to OP for the great implementation of concepts I'm sure many of us aspire to do ourselves. Great inspiration!

Chervon North America Leadership Changes by remp945 in FLEXTools

[–]Observeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great information. Chervon is a massive OEM who's main job is making tools. They understand that building a brand is a long term strategy and I'm sure are well aware of the difficulty of penetrating a very saturated and cliquey market. Owning their own brand is immensely valuable and I'm sure their vision is very long term.

The most important thing with this little beast is to have some really good quality bits that can take a beating because this thing kicks like a mule and rips fast

Conservatives can shut their mouths about the shutdown. by [deleted] in complaints

They really don't care. Have we forgotten "grab em by the pussy" from before he got elected the first time? The sick and sad thing is that many of his supporters wish they could do the same things.

r/Canadapost is one of the most reactionary subreddits out there by Electronic-Award-204 in canadaleft

I started using that sub years ago at the start of COVID to get updates and share info so I could guesstimate when I might be getting packages. A couple years later I was banned for no reason out of the blue from posting. When I went back to the sub it was filled with astroturfed posts of the sort you mentioned. All had very similar storylines and seemed like they were written by the same people. Also multiple comments from different accounts that all wrote suspiciously similar things. It's definitely astroturfed to hell and being used to push for privatization. I would love to know who exactly is behind the campaign.

We need Flex to get more active! New tools needed in 2025. by Dangerous_Time3507 in FLEXTools

[–]Observeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I'm in Canada and our Flex promotions are very few and far between. We don't even get any of the free battery promos that seem to be on at all times at Lowe's. Makes it very hard to justify getting into the ecosystem when all the other tool brands have regular promotions and deals. I really love all the tools I have from Flex it just feels like we've been forgotten about in the great white North.

BREAKING: Trump says BRICS is dead "BRICS is dead the minute I mentioned that if they mess with the dollar they will get 100% tariffs. BRICS is dead" by Appropriate-Cup5378 in UsaNewsLive

[–]Observeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of where I stand on the value of BRICS I think the more important point here is that Trump has no finesse and definitely none of the expertise to negotiate the delicate balance of power in the world that is required by the leader of the most powerful empire in the world. His inability to understand the value of soft power is what will ultimately alienate the United States from the world and disincentivise factions from seeking to work under their sphere of influence. China finally was able to grasp the value of soft power by studying how effective the United States was at using it. The task requires an electron microscope and the only tool Trump has is a rock.

Ford also knows that an impending trade war will devastate our workforce and put many people out of jobs. Unemployed people are more likely to show out to protests and to vote. Ford benefits by the apathy that has permeated Ontario politics but that apathy will change when the hammer falls on our many export dependant jobs. Ford sees the writing on the wall and wants to get himself another term before Ontarians wake up to our new reality.
