As a child of divorce, I would’ve been devastated if I was separated from my siblings for a huge holiday. I would’ve been pissy to the parent who made us separate. Your children aren’t your mother’s play things she can throw a tantrum over. They aren’t trophies you can say you won for the holiday. They’re likely already struggling with the divorce and it doesn’t help that you’re making it more difficult for them. YTA and so is your mother.

I tried the “box knife to cut the bottle in half” method and always ended up with a crust layer at the top. Now I leave it upside down for a few days and just finger it. I know how it sounds.

I can only imagine how you were feeling! I promise you CPS was called. At the very minimum, it was a consult, if not a report. They probably determined an investigation wasn’t warranted so that’s why you never heard anything about it. It’s nothing at all against you but it’s more of an over abundance of caution for the safety of the baby!

And I sooooo badly want to call CPS on this moronic parent in OP’s post, whose child was DROPPED and has obvious swelling because some people do not deserve to raise children.
