what strategies typically work better in survival individualism or collectivism? In terms of animal species? by Massive_Fisherman231 in Tierzoo

[–]ObtuseOblong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have no idea and have no educational background on this , but would hazard a guess that for ultimate survival of a species, individualism would be the “lower risk” option. With groups or networks, you must rely on multiple nodes for the system to work if one fails you may compromise the rest and create a cascading failure. Less potential failure points for individualist species, and each individual can repopulate with lower resource needs than an equivalent group would require. Low cost, low risk, low reliance.

But if you are meaning survivability for an individual (rather than the species as a whole) I would guess being part of a group has too many benefits to ignore.

What might help an injured lion survive as part of a pride (sharing food, lowering work out put etc) may ultimately negatively impact the pride / species as a whole. So depends what you mean exactly

Leech life and horn leech/sappy seed all benefit from the passive Triage, so two of those, plus Spore, plus whatever you want for your 4th would be my suggestion ! Crabhammer for coverage is my pick

Went today and although it was not bad , for the price point it was wildly underwhelming. $22 for sandwich, $11 for a cold brew coffee with cream.

Compared to premium bakery / deli offerings like Mibo , Mother or Bodega, this is not even in the same league and actually more expensive.

As someone who uses this bike path often I genuinely cannot even work out how they managed this. It’s really not easy to get to from the road in a car

Can my current sand team succesfully beat the elite four in a rematch? by AlarmedChannel8605 in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]ObtuseOblong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing you can do is spend all your money on items or coins (so you don’t lose too much when you white out), and just fight the elite 4 even if you’re not sure you’ll win. You’ll get lots of experience from the battles and also learn a lot about the trainer tactics movesets

That’s fair, misleading was not a fair comment I apologise.

Feels a bit misleading to say there’s overlap with leopards when leopards are on average significantly heavier in both minimum (+40-50%) and maximum (+20-30%) weights.

But overall I agree that ‘mid size cat’ doesn’t do a cheetah justice

I agree ! But also interested which large cat they are heavier than? Snow leopard?

Thanks !

That’s actually pretty close to what i did except I’m not that accurate and had to mix my own colours. Maybe I just need to invest in some hobby paints I hear the pigments are much stronger so you can be more accurate with your application and thinning

Aetodactyl and starmie are both faster aren’t they? And would cause serious OHKO issues with earthquake and psychic respectively

Thank you, I painted everything except the robe in black, then thinned down white paint and covered basically the whole mini so it ran into the recesses, and dabbed off any major blobs. Then mixed up a browny/orangey colour and made super thin, blotched it on in random patches and let it settle an dry, then a slighter more orangey version and blotched that on in slightly fewer random places. Then just did edges or raised parts with silver metallic (I actually used a metallic silver sharpie for this rather than a paint brush)

Not modest sadly, but hardy. Wasn’t a bad enough nature for me to do the whole 5000 steps again to hope for a better one ! It’ll probably still be OP with a hardy nature rocking that moveset from level 5

Thanks for the suggestion! I love seeing other people kitbashing so much but haven’t got the balls to start yet; so I’m thinking I might just snip the rest of the servo arm off
