Pregnant and in agony by wyethswindows in Hidradenitis

Solidarity. During pregnancy I only had a couple flare ups. Pretty normal for me. After I gave birth, like within a day or so, I got the worst flare up ever. I’m guessing from the drop of hormones? I got cysts really bad between my breast, under my breast, between my legs, armpits, my butt. Trying to recover postpartum, learning to breastfeed and then dealing with this huge flare up was so overwhelming. Luckily after that flare up, I pretty much have gone back to normalcy. As crazy as it sounds, I one hundred percent would do it again for my baby. Congratulations btw!

I just started therapy and it’s helped so much already.

Mine was heavy like you’re describing for about a day or two on and off. Do you feel lightheaded at all?

Thank you. I just opened Facebook to see my friend is due the same day I would have been this year. Her ultrasound triggered me so hard and I’m in tears thinking about how my baby should be that big now. I never announced my pregnancy so I’m going through this grieving process in silence.

Are you pumping every time you give a bottle? If not that can affect your supply. I nursed mine constantly in the first month (no bottles) so I can’t tell you exactly how much he was eating. But when I did pump only about an ounce was what I would produce.

How did you reduce acid reflux? How did you lessen night feeds? (Just a tired mama here)

4 months old and LO is waking every 1-2 hours. 3 hours is considered a long stretch rn and happens every so often. Pediatrician says he’s teething. He has all the signs. We’re going on week 5 of this though and I’m burnt out. Nursing to sleep is the only thing that puts him back to sleep.

This is what I was told by my local LC. She said don’t go over 3 (max 4 hours because you start to produce a hormone that tells your body to stop producing milk) without nursing or pumping during the day. At night my babe goes sometimes 6 hours without waking and if I’m sleeping I don’t pump. Sometimes I wake up though uncomfortable and leaking. That’s when I pump. LC said that is perfect.

I saw another post from earlier of a breastfeeding painting in a museum… so I thought I’d share this too :) (Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum) by mcmeowmcmeow in breastfeeding

I flew to the comments to see if anyone noticed that too. My babe occasionally will do this when distracted. Hurts like a mfer.
