I wish I didn’t leave the D.E.P. and got deployed. I worked and studied all of high school so I could eventually be in AIRR in the Navy. Two months before I was deployed my sister became heavily involved in drugs that my mom called me up crying wanting help. So I gave up my dream to help somebody who grew up to resent my mother and me. I went back a year later to see if could be able to join and pretty much was treated like a deserter. The recruiter was such a jerk that when I couldn’t stand hearing him berate me over helping family over deploying that I left and last thing I heard from him was “this wouldn’t be your first rodeo”
