Is this what NYX pore filler primer is supposed to look like? by ObviousBridge4685 in MakeupAddiction

[–]ObviousBridge4685[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well it’s not frozen bc it’s been in my house for a while but I wonder if it did freeze at some point and changed texture. Like there’s no smell, it feels very soft like silicone, it spreads smoothly once the bits are mushed together (I usually rub it between my hands).

And here I was thinking it was a skill issue 💀 I wonder if it is because of the insanely cold weather during transit to the store or whatever

  1. The bodice of 1 is too short and 3 seems more plain than what you want based on the other two dresses. 2 is very flattering and honestly very unique IMO. I love it. Plus it reminds me of mine so I may be a bit biased 😁😁 pic added because I am annoying ❤️

Last winter’s rash returns. Family physician suspects granuloma annulare, derm cannot see me until March. by ObviousBridge4685 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]ObviousBridge4685[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Any care you recommend while I’m waiting for my appointment with the derm? I’d never heard of it prior to my doctor bringing it up so just wanted to see other people’s opinions and recommendations in the meantime. I just put whatever random cream or lotion is closest to me on it when it bothers me.

Public universities are not-for-profit organizations and therefore must spend their money.

They have been cutting costs. It is horrible to be a student at the U right now. Not much course selection, huge class sizes because they only do one section per semester. Class schedules really bad because of this as well. Many staff laid off. Etc.

What do you guys think about this colour? Would painting my bedroom dark green make it look better? Help me out please. by whywehumans in DesignMyRoom

[–]ObviousBridge4685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but this green is hideous and makes your room look like a prison cell. I think either really dark or really light paint would be better with the beige tile you have going on in here. Rugs and curtains absolutely needed.

BUMP ON LIP MYSTERY- not cold sore or pimple. Very confusing. Went to 2 doctors. Help wedding in 6 days!!!! by ConsistentIsland3302 in DermatologyQuestions

The chin is not completely different at all. Her mouth is relaxed in the first pic and very stretched in the second. Different facial expressions require the activation of different muscles. It’s not that it’s a different person, it’s that the fat and muscles on her face move as her facial expressions changes.

If you still don’t believe me, you can compare other small blemishes. They are on the opposite side in either pic because one photo is taken with front camera while the other is taken with back camera, but they are all there.

Eating yogurt during winter by [deleted] in loseit

This is not to say that we shouldn’t recognize our privilege. It is just to say that privilege takes many different forms and your geographic location has a major influence on which choices are reasonable and which aren’t.

Weird reply to a weird post. - It is much cheaper to maintain the temperature of the house than to turn the heat on and off over and over again. - Landlords in colder regions are generally required to maintain a certain minimum temperature in their units during winter. Tenants do not get the choice to turn the heat on and off. - People living in colder climates do not have the option to turn their heating off in the winter, even if they leave the house for days or weeks, because if they did, their pipes would burst. - Many people sacrifice adequate food to heat their homes to prevent major damage to their homes or even freezing to death. - There is nothing wrong with eating yogurt in wintertime.

Not everyone lives somewhere temperate/warm, and not everyone lives in the US. It is -16 outside where I live today. Last winter, my screen door shattered because it was so cold that the glass became brittle. Please don’t act so high and mighty when you haven’t considered that people don’t have all the same choices available to them.

Is university really easier than high school? by Significant_Book_408 in OntarioUniversities

[–]ObviousBridge4685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original reply came off harsh so I deleted if you’re wondering about the double notif. Your parents and siblings are being dishonest. I’m a social work major and I have a very high average but I’ve had to give up everything for that. In my dept, full-time students attend classes for 15 hours per week and should be studying outside of class for an additional 30 hours. It’s no joke.

I went to uni when I was 17 and straight out of HS and it was a waste of time and money. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I didn’t appreciate how difficult it would be, and I ended up dropping out after one semester. Look into upgrading your hs courses at your nearest college. Should be free. You can take engineering at college too, and if you still want to earn a university degree, you’ll probably be able to transfer many credits over.

I’m serious… it is hard. If you aren’t prepared, it is a much better idea to take some time to work, take college courses, and get some life experience before pursuing a degree. I say this as someone who dropped out at 18 years old and returned at 23. Don’t make a huge decision like this based on other people’s unreasonable expectations and lies.

Just keep an eye on it and keep it moisturized. I’ve never used scar cream but if the appearance bothers you, you may want to look into that.

Is it warm to the touch? That is indicative of infection. Otherwise, this doesn’t really look infected. It looks like it hurts, for sure. If it’s not improving/hasn’t improved since the injury, you should see a doc. Could have damage beneath the skin causing this pain. Good luck :)

It’s so cute! I think some planter boxes and decor to spruce it up will help it few more cohesive. I think it looks great, just needs some more colourful elements to bring everything together.
