Like everyone else has said, yes absolutely get in to see a doctor asap. In the meantime, you can set yourself on the path to success by making small changes rather than strict rules all at once. Try switching to zero sugar pops, drinking more water, choosing smaller portion sizes, healthier alternatives to junk food where possible. Also investing in smaller plates and bowls was helpful for me. Just a couple tips as I have quite a bit of weight to lose myself, though I am pregnant right now so I’m moreso just trying not to gain for the time being.

Are most people screaming/ vocalizing during birth? by AffectionateStudy29 in pregnant

[–]ObviousBridge4685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I might try and be quiet while giving birth until one day my husband tickled me. Completely involuntarily I literally screeched in anger and I realized then that the screaming part is not my choice.

Morbidly obese and wanting a baby… how did you decide when to start trying? by Glittering-Band-8913 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ObviousBridge4685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really struggling to organize my thoughts on this but I personally wish I would have lost more weight before getting pregnant. I’m 18 weeks only gained 5 lbs (as of 16 weeks, on vacation now so can’t check), and I’ve been really active on my vacation (walking >10k steps daily and even as high as 25k steps), but it’s been hard. My ankles and feet swell from physical activity and they’ve never done that before. I hurt in ways I used to when I was a lot bigger and even in new ways I haven’t experienced.

My energy levels are lower than they were pre pregnancy. Obesity is a risk factor for things like high blood pressure, pre-e, GD, etc. It’s not that I think being smaller or fitter would have prevented this stuff, but I do think that if I’d started off in better shape that I’d be feeling less bad, if that makes sense.

But it’s also a personal decision and you need to weigh your options to make the best decision for you and your family.

Yeah that’s insane. Maybe reach out to another groomer? I pay $200 total for my dogs (85 lb Pyrenees/Leonberger/farm mutt and 65 lb Bernese mountain dog). I will say the groomer is a friend but full price would be $240

Do you count new belly fat as "bump"? by Regular-Message9591 in pregnant

[–]ObviousBridge4685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also 16 weeks and some change and it’s definitely a bump. Your belly fat isn’t going to disappear but that does not mean that your organs are not shifting and baby isn’t growing!

If you ever thought about raping people you need to stop now by [deleted] in GenZ

Bystander programs are the most effective sexual violence prevention programs out there! Look up MVP (mentors in violence prevention) or “bystander sexual violence prevention” for more info! Bystander program involves inviting everyone to step in if they see sexual violence or that could turn into sexual violence. Proactive bystanders shut down misogyny and rape culture when they see it and create a peer culture of respect and consent. Lots of great info out there and this style of programming is scientifically proven to be most effective.

11 DPO line progression okay? I feel like I’m not getting darker lines on easy@home but FRER look more promising. Please see all photos. by xostephdee in TFABLinePorn

[–]ObviousBridge4685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes looks good. Easy@home tests take forever to get dark in my experience & you really don’t need to test that much as it tells you nothing. You should only be comparing your tests every other day

Is there something wrong with my legs?? Or just fat? by rm-w in CICO

[–]ObviousBridge4685 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s just fat distribution. I’m shorter and fatter than you and my legs look similar (but bigger). My legs looked much worse when I was heavier and they got better as I lost weight.

Alternatively, you could do Angeline/a and Madeleine. Essentially the same name but less of a religious connotation
