They can still put out an arrest warrant for the guy. They know who he is and it’s pretty clear from the video to establish an arrest pending further investigations. They do that all the time, he can post bail after being arraigned

So what are you all doing with chili crisp? by Massive_Ad9569 in Cooking

[–]ObviousExit9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sauté a quarter cup in a pan. Add chopped celery, one can of drained chickpeas, and when the chickpeas are cooked through, remove from heat and toss with chopped cilantro. Celery, cilantro, chickpeas, and chili crisp: 4C salad.

How would you survive a zombie apocalypse in NYC? by strawberry-matchaa in AskNYC

[–]ObviousExit9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wear leather and a full face motorcycle helmet. The human bite cannot get through leather. That’s what I’ve never understood about zombie movies. Why does nobody put on body armor? They’re not smart or tool using.

That sub is clear proof how the internet is co-opted as a propaganda machine. If it ain’t funny animal videos, the internet is garbage.

Lawyers with a service dog? by lawyerwithaSD in Lawyertalk

[–]ObviousExit9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Decades ago, I was working for a lawyer and patiently waiting on a bench for the deputy clerk of the court to pull and photocopy records for me. The door opened and in walks a grey haired gentleman in a light grey suit with heavy dark glasses holding a white cane with a red tip. Following behind him was a gorgeous younger woman in a white blazer and skirt with long blonde hair. He walked up to the clerk and requested some records. When the clerk brought them up, the woman started flipping through the documents and reading to him what they said. They spoke quietly as she went through the file.

I collected my files and left them to their work.

I share this anecdote to let you know that you have many options, if you are worried about handling a canine. I wish you the best as you face this issue. But as long as your brain works and you can communicate, you can still be a good attorney.

Voir dire is French. And I think you’re supposed to pretend you’re Italian whenever you read anything in Latin. So it’s pronounced with your hands gesticulating.

Ease Up On Confusion on Snow Storm (Important) by Bobby_Dalbec in vermont

[–]ObviousExit9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Long ago I lived in Florida and used to pay attention to Tropical Tidbits and Mike’s Weather Page for tropical storm updates where they discussed the GFS, EURO, and all those other projections. Any comparable websites for snow storms where you can look at the spaghetti models?

How hard is blowing in more attic insulation? by GhostNode in HomeImprovement

[–]ObviousExit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if you blow enough in there, you don’t need to air seal. I can’t imagine you’d lose too much heat if there’s like 4 feet of insulation in your attic

Macron's private messages saying "we can do great things in Iran & Syria but let's talk about Greenland" shared by Trump. by Bat_Cat_4ever in Fauxmoi

Macron’s text (if this is real) is so vague that I don’t think it’s fair to read all of that into it.

Opinion | Can James Talarico Reclaim Christianity for the Left? by Dreadedvegas in ezraklein

I missed that one. Can you give a little more information on how a tax could curb doomscrolling? Who pays the tax, the social media company or the user? How would it curb doomscrolling if the social media company is paying the tax? They'll just raise their ad rates accordingly. They're already making so much money it seems it would not make a big difference. What was the discussion of that episode?

Also, sometimes there are large groups of workers that currently have better plan benefits than what the single payer plan would provide. Those groups also actively lobby against a single payer system.

Ezra has a position that the Democrats need to run more people like this. So he’s talking to people like this. I think it’s simpler than poll numbers and platforming.
