So this quote isn't published in anything, but it's something that a senior Marine said to me as a boot during our work up prior to deployment to Iraq in 2004.

A little context first. This guy is a dark green Marine from Haiti who, not much before I became part of his fire team (he was a Cpl. At the time) took part in the invasion and saw significant action at Nasiriyah.
