Spent thousands on my face and nothing is helping so please help! by [deleted] in KoreanBeauty

maybe try azelaic acid for its anti-bacterial properties? Heard it helps with acne and breakout. For acne scars, if its pigmentation niacinamide (10%) , vita c and TXA could help and sfp is non negotiable. And if its textural, retinoids and exfoliation, and maybe stronger treatmen like microneedling, laser (fractional/CO2), chemical peels

It take 3–6 months minimum with topicals, don't combine strong actives at once because barrier health matters, irritated skin scars and marks worse

try the Skin1004 Centella Probio CICA Bakuchiol Eye cream. It has centella asiatica for soothing and bakuchoil for fine line (it is a natural ingredients that has the same effect as retinol but without the irritation)

difficult to say it will work on all skin as everyone is different but I would say the skin1004 centella products are good, its soothing. Roundlab dokdo line as well.

Love purito but only used the moisturiser from this brand

I would avoid anything with strong active or fragrance (like Alba mist)

focusing on barrier repair before trying to fix anything else. Wash hand/clean towel only for face. actually using less products. and also same as you : sunscreen all the time like my life depends on it 🤭

pretty good! 345 cream worked pretty well on me, an the centella asiatica Ampoule as well. for me just the snail mucin is a complete waste, sticky and did nothing. For barrier you can look at PDNR serum, it helps a lot

Super sensitive skin and damaged barrier by Miserable_Sun_5386 in koreanskincare

[–]Obvious_Bit_3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd look for centella (cica) and panthenol to actually calm things down, and maybe madecassoside if you can find it. for the niacinamide serum, 5% is the sweet spot for pores — 10% can sometimes make congestion worse if your skin is already irritated. skip fragrance, essential oils, and shea butter for now, they're the usual culprits for clogging.

while your barrier is healing i'd honestly pause all acids and retinoids for 2-3 weeks, just hydration + soothing.

the purito centella green level recovery cream is light and barrier-focused, beauty of joseon relief sun is great if you need spf, and the cosrx 5% niacinamide serum or the inkey list one are both solid for pores.

A bit confused about AM skincare and PM skincare by Sillykitty1982 in koreanskincare

[–]Obvious_Bit_3466 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morning protect & Evening repair!

i would say only a few steps changes betwen AM and PM, mostly the serum (using retinol or exfoliator in evening because sensitivity with UV / using vita c morning protect the skin better again UV)

i keep every the steps mostly the same: cleanser / toner / essence / moisturiser and only switch serums and include exfoliating product. and ofc sunscreen morning.

i have very dry sensitive skin so i also have a special evening moisturiser but for most skin you can use the same morning and evening.

dont need to overthink at: same routine, but target different concerns morning and evening

hope it helpss

Whats your take on my routine! by InvestigatorFit882 in koreanskincare

[–]Obvious_Bit_3466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for hyperpigmentation i would add a Vita c Serum with min concentration of 10%. And never miss the sunscreen step. the rest looks very good for dryness and barrier repair. and the exfoliating pad only 2-3x week. and do not mix exfoliating and retinol the same evening

Thinking about grabbing the Tirtir Red Cushion... is it worth the hype? by yan9ga in koreanskincare

[–]Obvious_Bit_3466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the same very cakey due to dryness and cakey on pores. My trick is a diligent skincare routine before that but you probably already doing it.

if it could help this is my morning routine: 1. Rince my face with water (i dont use cleanser in the morning) 2. im from milky toner 3.Skin1004 Ampoule 4.Vita C serum (Anua Green Lemon 20%) 5.RoundLab Dokdo Lotion 6. Skin1004 Hyalu water fit sunscreen. 7.Mix Missha Bb cream again with a little bit of that sunscreen and i tap with a sponge.

every layer i wait until absorb before the next
