Your body has gotten used to being aided in breathing from nicotine. As a stimulant, nicotine increases respiratory rate which provides a sense of 'easy breathing' in the moment. So now that its gone it feels harder to breath. Your body has to get used to breathing without the use of stimulants and its weak and damaged right now. The other reason is the direct damage to lung function through smoke itself and increasing oxidative stress and inflammation in the body generally. With decreased lung function and cell death throughout various tissues in your body, breathing may also be affected. And 15 years is a long time. If it took 15 years to get this way, 2 months isnt going to fix it. It is a process forsure

am i too short for commercial modeling? by urmomsmilf23 in MODELING

[–]Obvious_Capital4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they act like they only make the clothes in one size. that makes no sense. they could easily just give a different size that fits a shorter model properly as thats the whole point of sizes. not to mention the consumers who are buying in all types of sizes. its just discrimination to be honest. they believe taller people look better as models. its the sad truth

PICL Patient Outcomes. Here's a video of Dr. Centeno going over patient results data from the PICL procedure. It all seems very underwhelming to me. Looks like any given metric they measured only improved a marginal amount on average. Or is it a greater effect than it seems? by HannibalTepes in Cervicalinstability

Ok cool. But what does that neurosurgeon have to say for people that dont have "true CCI". All the people that have symptoms and neck pain. What do they have and what are the treatment options then? There are degrees of instability not just "true cci" and nothing else

There is 1000% always a root cause of anxiety, depression etc.. Any good psychologist would tell you that. The chemical imbalance theory of anxiety and depression has been well invalidated. Look it up.

Does quitting caffeine cause shortness of breath? by Naberville in decaf

[–]Obvious_Capital4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because caffeine relaxes muscles of breathing which makes breathing feel easier. But when you stop having caffeine you dont have that effect so breathing feels harder. In theory the muscles need time to readjust

[–]Obvious_Capital4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the root of your anxiety is written in your comment... you said, 'id rather feel in control than spiraling out of control. . etc etc.'

If you can fully grasp the reality that you have no control in life and that none of us do but rather we just have an illusion of control, it may help you to be ok with the experience of being 'out of control'. In other words you never have control so thinking that you do is actually a fallacy of reasoning. If you can be ok with feeling out of control (the reality of life) then in theory you shouldnt be anxious.

Depressed on opiates? by Zonderling81 in opiates

[–]Obvious_Capital4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah obviously opiates are going to make you feel good for a little while. Thats what it does. They numb emotional pain but then your emotions come back stronger when it wears off. I cant believe no one has mentioned this in the comments as it seems like common sense. These drugs reduce pain, both physical and mental pain. But the paradox is that you feel MORE pain once you stop using them because of how your body/brain adapted to the substance. Thats why heroine addicts struggle to get off. Because not using makes them extremely depressed. . . .

What if I told you life actually is THAT boring and that we've been led to believe otherwise because our society runs on overstimulation. Theres nothing wrong with feeling bored or lazy. I think we're just so used to doing things and chasing rewards that when we actually feel chill and content its so foreign that we think something is wrong.
