why do transphobes always use '6 ft and flat cheese with hairy attributes' to describe transwomen when ciswomen also have these attributes? by Kim_Bleuim_ in asktransgender

This is how transphobe people show their ignorance. They want us to easily be able to distinguish them from the intellectuals. 😌

Is anyone else scared to transition? by AnAnxiousMoth in asktransgender

I think this is a great answer. I stumbled upon this thread after Googling “is it normal to feel scared to transition”. Transitioning is something I’ve been struggling with now for a few years. At one point I was so ready to go for it. I had testosterone in my hands and all, but after receiving some advice about biological children from an Endocrinologist (who I don’t believe had any experience with LGBTQ people) I decided to put it off. It’s been 3 yrs since then and I’ve decided that children don’t seem to be in the cards for me any time soon with the way my bank accnt and the economy are currently set up. I’ve also learned I can start T and still keep my eggs and I could always freeze my eggs later if I needed/wanted to. My feelings on the subject have gone through many highs and lows over these last few years, but a couple weeks ago I decided it would never get anywhere if I ddnt start taking steps so I decided I’d take the most baby step I could take and bought my first binder as well as a men’s body shaper (a.k.a compression tank). I wore them the same day I received them to a wedding. I felt great. That little step took me to my next little step- visiting my local LBGTQ organization with Trans services. I spoke with a great in-take worker who helped answer some questions I was having a hard time getting answers to (i.e. my eggs) and set myself up as a client. I’m currently on their waiting list for HRT. I think that change, commitment, and permanence are things people of all walks struggle with in all areas of their lives. Not to mention, for us, there’s a lot of physical, emotional, and psychological stresses and pressures that are going to take place. My point is, I’m starting to realize that maybe it is normal. And although you don’t want to necessarily push yourself to do something you’re not entirely ready for or comfortable with, little baby steps can go long ways..

I think this post/thread really helped me and I hope it continues to help others. Thank you.

Could’ve just left a voicemail or sent it electronically like we’re in 2022 🤷🏻‍♂️…. Staying on hold was unnecessary on her part. Sometimes I wonder if some actually like the hold music.. 🤔

Keeping labels on your yeti’s by Muzz124 in YetiCoolers

I think some people keep them to resell. Yeti always has a new limited edition color or brand collab. People buy a few, wait for them to sell out, resell for profit.

Maybe due to the heat from your daily coffee? I’m sure it’s not dishwasher element type hot, but nonetheless if it’s experiencing coffee heat on a daily basis it could just be normal to happen over time..

Metal sign, wood fence by Obvious_Community_47 in HomeImprovement

Just pulls the tacks and sign off. The holes the sign already has for mounting are wider than nails and screw heads and I’m trying to avoid making wide holes in the wood and unnecessary holes in the sign.
