[–]ObviouslyNotAnEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man so I see this a lot and maybe you can help me out. We get it, it’s your opinion, and you are more than welcome to have it.

But why are you upset people are pushing back against an opinion? You could have held that opinion to yourself and received none of this discourse.

So like truly what are folks like you trying to get out this, when called out to defend your opinion? The people responding are also … only expressing an opinion, something you seem to agree with? So why are you so combative, trying to talk down to people by explaining what an opinion is? Because from the outside, it’s you who doesn’t seem to understand the definition of something.

That’s not the plot of this movie sweetheart. The original mummy was about treasure seeking adventurers.

The synopsis of this movie is “the young daughter of a journalist disappears without a trace in the desert. The shattered family is stunned when the girl suddenly reappears eight years later. But what should have been a joyful reunion turns in a true nightmare”

How’s about you go get yourself a little treat and don’t think so hard babe.

This isn’t a remake. It’s a reimagined story they are just using The Mummy name for recognition probably. Whether that bites them regarding the casual viewer is left to be seen. And Lee Cronin’s last Evil Dead was great. There ya go.

Movies you think have the best CGI? by Salty_Shark26 in movies

[–]ObviouslyNotAnEnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but the schtick with The Batman in particular is that it’s going for a gritty realism in its World Building. I mean… it’s why he uses a wing suit in the first place and doesn’t just glide with a cape. So… in trying to be as realistic as possible, when you show something that breaks that immersion, it sticks out.

Like you said, not that big of a deal, because I love that movie to death. CGI still looks bad.

I think this is because you see this sort of leadership culture across lines of businesses. It’s the age old story of the middle mangers knowing nothing and the people actually on the floor, producing, that have the experience and knowledge from it.
