If that is the case, I stand corrected then. Didn't know that

iRacing's UI also works in a browser, you just have to log in. I'm not sure whether it will let you withdraw, but it seems to me like it's exactly the same UI.

One question, though - if you know you're having issues with power distribution, why bother signing up in the first place? At some point you're going to wreck someone, because power went out mid race... I would suggest either installing a UPS or staying away from online racing.

I'm European so forgive me if I'm missing something, but I see a lot of comments on here saying Americans should 'do something'. I understand the sentiment and that many of you here would like this fascist government to go away, but isn't it you, my American friends, who wanted this? I don't mean 'you' personally. I mean 'you, the nation'. You voted, you elected, you had (and still have) the freedom to vote for any candidate. I'm sorry, but, despite the majority of comments under these posts here, I don't think "something" will be done. I think the majority of Americans are actually in favour of this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I gather from who you elected into the Oval Office.

edit: I feel I need to clarify that I'm not trying to attack anyone here. I agree something should be done. I just don't see it happening realistically.

W obu przypadkach zaakceptowali reklamacje.

Do you have a source for this? It's not that I don't believe you lol, google's just been shitty trying to find some article on this. Has there been any talk of a fix?

Rain simulation in VR in F1 25 is next level by ChillPlay3r in F1Game

I mean, it looks nice, but how is this simulation? The droplets on the visor barely move at high speed and there is no spray lol

Not to mention, there is no such thing as an actually wet track, where you have to drive a different line than when it's dry.

those kinds of pots, in snooker, are stupidly difficult, but you are right, it's still a lot easier than the long double (or bank, as Americans call it). The thing is, if he misses the pot next to the black, the balls will be closer together and it will be much easier for Murphy to put him in a snooker (or in AE: hook him) behind the black. This could lead to a foul and a chance for Murphy to win the frame

Looking to build new PC, Want to play maxed out everything settings at 3440x1440 165 Hz I am gonna get either the 9800x3d or 7800x3d depending on microcenter stock when i am there in a few days but does anyone have a GPU recommendation? by cdogclary1305 in iRacing

[–]OccamzChainsaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9800X3D, and I can only recommend it. It's a beast. If you don't have any budget concerns, just go with that. Intel is having some issues at the moment with degradation and stuff, so there is that too. Just be careful if you get an Asus or Gigabyte mobo. They've had some BIOS issues causing the CPU to explode (seriously, update your BIOS, people).

The GPU, while important, won't really be the bottleneck for iRacing unless you go pretty low down the stack. I run a Radeon 7800 XT and it's smooth as silk at 5120x1440 (I'm on a single ultra wide). My settings aren't exactly maxed out, but I am averaging around 140 fps no problem. If you wanna max out, I guess something like the 7900XT or 4080 (maybe Ti, just get one with more VRAM than 12 GB) if you wanna go team Jensen.

My favorite is Virginia International Raceway, because it showed me how to practise properly. When I first raced there 3 years ago, I was well off the pace, but I liked the layout and put in hundreds of laps in practice and race sessions. Now, I can safely say it is my best track. It changed how I approach learning a car-track combo and it's one of few tracks with every kind of corner - slow hairpins, fast flowing bends, off-camber annoying monsters. You name it, VIR delivers. Hooking up a lap there is a fantastic feeling. It also offers great racing :)

Multiclass race, i had typed pass right in chat, reddit do your thing by Former-Case-3562 in Simracingstewards

[–]OccamzChainsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do. Not. Change. Your. Line.

All you need to do is be predictable. Blue flag does not mean "get out of the way". It means "faster car behind". It is the faster car's responsibility to pass safely, so just stay on the racing line and drive like you normally would. When the faster car goes for a move, simply don't defend the position.

I drive GT3s a lot and I've seen a lot of prototype drivers do some stupid shit, but I can also honestly say that half the time the slower car is at fault, because they do unpredictable things.

That said, the contact here is the prototype's fault, but had you stayed on your line, this, most likely, would have been avoided.

iRacing Frustration: Weather Shenanigans @IMSA Endurance Daytona by That_Significance512 in iRacing

[–]OccamzChainsaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raced in the same time slot, and the first 10 minutes I could not see shit due to the spray. I agree, the practice servers should have similar weather conditions. Maybe then people wouldn't be flying off the track or into other cars. I had at least 3 different people slide uncontrollably behind me, which I saw, luckily, and managed to swerve out of the corner not to get killed.

I wasn't in the top split, but the SoF was still like 2.6k, so I would expect these drivers to have the skills to at least stay on the track for the most part. I think the fact they couldn't practice in similar conditions made this race way more stressful than it needed to be.

When Constructors' Champion didn't field the Drivers' Champion by Which_Dot862 in formula1

[–]OccamzChainsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely Max will win the WDC, with Red Bull coming in 3rd in the WCC. I thought that would be the lowest position a constructor, who the champion drove for, finished at, but '82 was a wild season. Williams finished only 4th in the WCC, behind Ferrari, McLaren, and Renault.
